I'm in the hospital for three blood clots in my lung. life threatening at first, but was discharged yesterday with great protests over the prescribed medicines due to me not believing they adequately addressed my pain concerns. The doc overruled me and sent me out.

One sleepless and very painful night later, I am remitted to the hospital and given more and stronger pain killers immediately.

Seriously, that was a night of agony I would wish on no-one and it happened because a doctor not only refused to read my file in full but also to listen to my concerns regarding medicines that I'd known not to work. Because they hadn't dented my pain during the two days prior.

On the other hand, the other doctors have been very pleasant and listening well. So for those of you who can, object vigorously to any perceived medical mistakes because it's you being affected, not them.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

We have this visiting from Manchester at our department. Grew up around Old Trafford and a through and through, proper ManU fan. Amazingly he's also a fairly nice bloke. So I took him out to see the CL match tonight and - without knowing what a bickering bastard I am - he asked me to defend the Suarez biting. After about five minutes of monologue, the abridged version of the argument was that David Cameron is a dick so Suarez must be alright. He couldn't argue with that. No one can.
Legalise drugs! And murder!

Teachers and nurses do essential work for pennies and and all the abuse they can eat while Suarez and all pro footballers are basically healthy jesters, their salaries are at least three zeros too large. The only positive thing about Suarez is that when someone said 'Eat the Rich' he listened.

Not in every country Assail

My housemate decided to bring 5 friends over around 1 or 2 am last night because there was nowhere to go out (places close early for ANZAC Day - our day of remembrance). I don't mind 1 or 2 people, they usually remember she has a housemate and to keep it down and close the doors when they smoke outside, 5 people together are very loud and smokey :)

I've got to write a summary for my final project at uni that's about half a page long, but really, all that needs to be said can be said in one sentence, and a reasonably short one, too *sigh* I hate writing useless fluff, especially since I know the prof overseeing my project will see through all the fluff anyway and really does not want to have to read it, anyway.. Blargh.

Really? You're going to hold his salary against him? As if you, if you were in his shoes, would say no to the millions the clubs throw after you. It's not the fotballer's fault that they get paid ridiculous amounts of money to play, it's the clubs and the people like Macros, Tapper, Simeon and I that fuel the club's insane budgets. I'm not even sure a club would accept a player being on a decent wage - it would make it harder to keep the player if another club wanted his services.
