Couldn't finish a single drawing during classes today. My mind was all over the place. Damn it, we had the more interesting models today :D

"more interesting" meaning "naked"?

They're always naked. But occasionally we get a pair of professional dancers. Damn, they sure know how to keep a pose and facial expression.

"Talking to" is American for boning. Keep that in mind when you see a commercial for 60 Minutes..."This Sunday Morley Safer will be talking to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon..."

Fffff, this is not.. my.. day.. Found a job I really like and want to get, got everything ready, escept I have no photo I could paste on my CV and still sleep peacelly. All I can find are from a year ago with me being ten kilos heavier and having a serious 'I couldn't care less look'. Graaahhhh! I need this job! It's much closer to uni and the working ours are, like, perfect! :D

Good bye, this night's sleep.. :D

I can't believe they're going to put me under a general anaesthetic tomorrow just to set and pin my little finger! *insert Petyr Baelish joke*

Makes me wonder what they're REALLY going to do. By sheer coincidence, it turns out that I know the doctor who will be assisting, from years ago. So therefore I suspect shenanigans. :D

This year's Suvudu Cage Match only has 'classic' contenders.

While it will be fun to muse on the whole 'who would win between Dr Who and Gandulf' etc I'm a little disappointed.

Every year I've come away from the matches with new authors or series to discover/read but that's unlikely to happen this year.

You'd have to punch it weekly or so for the first six months since that's how often it seems necessary to reset the reader until it works properly.
I had to fix one for a family member ('Hey Abyss, you know technology....' 'No, i know how to read instructions and look up a FAQ on the internet.') and it took WAY too many tries. Works fine now and for various reasons is as good if not better than the competeing ereaders, but damn it was annoying. I understand the corp has now corrected the problem.

I dunno, isn't it possible you might discover some Classic authors and books from the list?

That's what I'd be on the lookout for. :D

Already read the list and there's nothing new to me there.

I'm sure it'll still be interesting but I doubt my 'To Read' pile will grow because of it.

Ah! Then yeah I can see how that would be disappointing.

There's always next year I guess.

Australia are annihilating the West Indies!

Which is great! - but the speed with which they are doing it means I'm not getting to perv on the good looking West Indie players as much as I'd like to. :veryangry:

It's a terrible world indeed when perving gets short shrift to sports prowess. They are supposed to work together.

Dear Sales Person in my Office,

The reason I asked you to CHECK with your customer if they wanted their design to have the type vertically set or horizontally set....was so that we could do it right the FIRST time. But no. You said YOU thought it goes vertically, and brooked no argument, and refused to ask them.

So I designed it that way.

Now of course you get an email from your customer telling us they wanted it HORIZONTALLY.

And you email me with only the word "sorry".

NOTE: THAT IS WHY I WANTED YOU TO CHECK IN THE FIRST PLACE! WOULD THAT REALLY HAVE BEEN SO HARD?

No. So now I have to redesign it. And you won't get it today you stupid asshat...you'll get it Monday.

Next time, maybe if you weren't such a bossy tool about such things?

Just a suggestion.

Sincerely,

Me

My Sony Media Player. I so thought I was the shit for having one of these when they came out, but it has been an almost unbroken string of fail. Finally, I have just disconnected from my TV, as it will no longer even turn on. What a waste of money. If you are thinking of purchasing one of these, absolutely do not buy a Sony.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

The Windies have fallen far. In the natural order of things it should be the other way round... :veryangry:
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants.
