I don't think I can explain the awkward.

I tried to grow a beard for the last 2 weeks. This was to hopefully appall the GF and her daughter when they arrive on Jan 16th. Mum was certainly not impressed. :D

Turns out it's mostly black with a sprinkling of grey around the chin. Unfortunately it was waaaaay too sparse to be respectable or shapeable in any way that would make it look cool. I tried to go for "Ze Riker" look, but it just wasn't happening.

So I shaved it all off just now. Back to looking 10 years younger. Le sigh. :D

Uh-oh.

If you call someone, finish the call, but forget to hang up... and you then find your phone later on with 6 hours on the clock... do you get charged?

I might be in trouble here...

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

If it's a mobile then so long as one of you hung up it won't matter. If it's a landline then it depends on whether they hung up or not. I once called a friend on a landline and then hung up but they forgot to put the phone back on its cradle properly - I went to call someone else two hours later and all I could hear was my friend talking to her mum about her new shoes. I had to use my mobile to cal her mobile to ask her to hang up her phone. Though, this was back when Telstra was still called Telecom so things may be different now. Yep, when I said mobile I meant giant brick sized phone with an antenna the size of a pencil :D

Yeah, it was a landline - I only noticed when it started whining that the battery was running out. Whoops.

Ive just lost around 20 hours of gameplay on Skyrim because of a glitch.

If you start the 'House of Horror' quest make sure you save before you go in the house otherise it can start playing silly buggers. I got the worst glitch according to the Wiki which means I cant even just have the quest unfinished but it wont actually let me leave the house.

You really ought to save more often. I'd hit 800 saves on my first Skyrim character by level 51, because I've played a Bethesda game before.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I (foolishly) thought it would be ok on this one because of the three backlogged autosaves it does. I would have been as well but it was the nature of this glitch (allowed me to leave and do other stuff) plus the fact I had no idea what was going on just assumed it was part of the quest. Only when I tried to leave is when it hit me.

I got Lost Odyssey and DE: Human Revolution for xmas started playing one of them but even though Skyrim had burned me I had to play again. Ill just start again and hope for the best.

Lost 20 hours?

Thus far I have only played 27 hours of Skyrim.

I do enjoy the game, but this time I didn't get addicted like with Morrowind, then again it seems that nowadays I've got less time to do things compared to when I was playing Morrowind years ago.

Christmas and New Years eve are past us, so perhaps I'll have more time during the weekends now.

Oh yes, gotta love Skyrim glitches. I finished the main quest a week or so ago but I have a bug in the Forsworn Conspiracy quest (also in Markarth) and I basically can't finish it. Which means that I can't continue on to the next one in that series (No-one escapes Cidhna Mine) so....yeah. I even reloaded an earlier save and tried again but the guard who's supposed to trigger the last bit of Forsworn doesn't do it. I suppose I'll just keep wandering around looking for random things to do. :D

Oddly enough, when I played through House of Horrors it was smooth as silk. Go figure.

sick sick sick sick.

I wake up after about 2 hours of sleep with my throat so dry I'm choking, because that is when the cough drop wears off. So after taking another cough drop and waiting for it to kick in I get 2 more hours of sleep. Oh happy day.

Turns out leaning forward to skim a book while typing nonsense is good for summaries, bad for my back.

Spent the day looking at office furniture which was fun but I am fit to explode over all the shitty furniture and office buzzwords. Like "breakout area", "meeting space", "statement piece", "hot desks". Also sitting on about 50 different chairs in one afternoon gets boring. Management want minimalist, open plan and funky. What a load of bollocks.

In class today, first day back, open folder and realize I didn't do the assignment. Teacher, after collecting assignment, sees she doesn't have mine, so decides to shout, "Ben! Where's yours?" After I meekly tell her she rants for about 20 minutes about how easy the assignment was, only a worksheet, fill in the balnk, kids these days blah blah...and as the bell rings, gives me a detention. Great.
