There's this girl, who kinda likes me, and I kinda like her... But good god, I have no idea how to take it further. I went up to her, introduced myself, and we discussed the rumours that she liked me. They were true... We kinda said we should get to know each other better.
It's been like 2 weeks since then, and we've just been speaking over facebook here and there, and a little at school.
THAT is what's messing with my groove.

Seriously? The hard part is over! You know she likes you! What's to be afraid of? She doesn't have cooties. In fact, she has a special disease called "mmmm, I want to touch that." Ask her to come over to your house, or her house, or a cabin in the woods. Or a restaurant, or diner, or dive-in. Just ask her to DO something.

Then, when things are going good and you are laughing or smiling, just kiss the girl!
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Damn Sky.

I finally got a Sky HD box as my old sky+ was playing up. It works fine, mostly - except I've just realised that it won't pause on loads of the channels, and I've already had failed recording.

It looks nice, but I'm now paying more for basically less than I had before, and looking online has confirmed my suspicions that Sky has the worst customer services ever, so sorting it won't be easy either.

Arse. In HD.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Strange how the most obvious answers make so much more sense when someone else tells you. Thanks :p

Wow, it's like AIJ has an understudy ...

I think the obvious thing is for your lawyers to contact each other so you're protected in case something goes wrong. Which it will.

Enjoy your burgeoning love life and the associated terrors and legal quagmire that now entails for males in the modern western democracy! :)

It seems I am always equated to AIJ :p
And I wager I'll more enjoy the burgeoning love life than legal troubles that may or may not ever arise (hopefully the latter)

I think I like that disease she has. She should totally stay infected :p
Thanks all for the unexpected and helpful advice.

I'm stuck at Loki's place because I live on a deadend street and there are firetrucks blocking the road. Everyone on my street seems hellbent on burning their houses down. That's what happens when insurance companies refuse to pay out claims after a flood. I wanna go to bed!

Obvious answer, set fire to the firetrucks in the way. Then step calmly over the ashes to your house. Problem solved.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

That's an awesome idea I could so do that but the four police cars full of policemen might not like that idea.

1: They'll be too busy putting out the fire
2: They have perfectly combustible vehicles too

Basically show me a problem you can't solve with fire and I'll show you a problem you aren't using enough fire for.

Given that she hasn't return to my front door again that either - 1. She made it past the trucks, or 2. She took your advice and is now being processed at the local cop shop.

it's Sunday afternoon and instead of relaxing, I'm stuck doing freaking homework...

Edit: Five hours later and I'm dumber than when I started... I must have drank the brain cells that held that knowledge away... :p

Slept on the couch for the whole weekend as my gf is sick with a cold and I wanted her to have the bed to herself....but no matter how comfy a couch is....it's not a bed and I woke up this morning for work not really feeling I'd slept well.

Oh, and the book I am reading is not good.

...and I got fairly drunk yesterday and I think I woke up still a bit drunk this morning from dehydration...so I'm feeling a little woozy and sick to my stomach. Yuck.

True to style, Queensland isn't showing the semi-final between Collingwood and Hawthorne live on tv - it's on a three hour delay and being shown on a channel I can't view in Ipswich FFS!

Thankfully, I have an Ace in the Hole, a shaved knuckle, a friend willing to help :p

The Force Unleashed II. So far what a disappointingly terrible game.

Hey iTunes: So I buy an entire season of TV off you on my laptop (VIA WiFi). I grabbed an episode or two to watch at home on my non-internet-connected desktop computer...but I need to AUTHORIZE (aka get on the net briefly) my computer or I can't watch what I purchased where I want to? F*** You Apple. Next time I'll buy the BluRay set.
