A friend seems to have disappeared. Spoke to him on Tuesday but haven't seen a sign of him since. One of his other friends has been phoning him to no avail and while it's likely he's just gone away, it's weird that it wasn't mentioned to either of us. Said other friend has also emailed his brother (no one knows his home phone number) to try and find out what's going on -- she's actually in a bit of a state at not knowing where he is...

Eczema is stress and diet related. Cut down on booze, eat fresh food and de-stress. Also don't use perfumed skin products - soaps and moisturisers. Otherwise, I know you can get all sorts of shit over the counter in the US. Can you buy hydrocortizone cream without prescription there?

Loki, I'm the same way, I loathe going to the dentist...it's probably because I had so much work done when I was younger that I've been scarred for life (retainers, teeth pulled, surgeries, braces, etc). That said, a few years ago I was in the same situation as you were, with a crazy-bad toothache, and I ended up going just because I literally couldn't sleep or chew or whatever. It turned out that the tooth had shifted and was impacted and I had to get it removed or it would have cracked so...yeah. Go. :)
