Wish I was with Sombra. (not that way freaks, it's a soldier thing)

Ps. Sombra- WD 40?? no CLP?? Watcha cleanin? M4? 240 Bravo? Mossburg 500? A CUSSER??

Wasn't as much fun as it sounded. We had to cut away the shoot as the scoring computer shat itself as the first group were zeroing and won't be fixed for days, so the 2 days we had booked (today and tomorrow) are a washout. So I didn't need to clean it at all. :p

Austeyr SA1 (see below), and I was going to use WD-40 (antirust etc spray) as it's great for getting rid of built up carbon in the gas system. Officially we're just supposed to use CLP and flannel cloth, but that shit takes ages and doesn't shift the heavy crud without using something abrasive which I'd prefer not to. The armourers use WD-40, degreaser etc, so I figure why the hell not? Considering mine smelled like WD-40 when I signed it out this morning ...

You still give it a light coat of CLP when you finish cleaning though.

A few guys who have done some time alongside the Yanks have told me they don't even clean the gas systems in M4s. Is this right? If it's because it doesn't need it except for a tech inspection or total clean by the armourers, it would be nice.

Regarding the 15km stomp, I have some lovely blisters on my feet now. :p

From what I know of my gun-enthusiast associates, the M4 gas system is preeeety clean.

But aside from obsessive compulsives and armory officers, nobody really bothers cleaning them on any kind of regular basis.

Had a big fight with the girlfriend tonight. Trying not to go to bed angry.

Sorry to hear that, mate. I hate going to bed mad so much that I tend to keep the fight going until some sort of conclusion is reached. I'm sure it'll all be fine :p

My groove is messed because a good friend of mine is having a 'should I leave or should I stay' crisis - what makes it harder/worse is that there are kids involved :p

I used to try to do this, but then I realized that if both the gf and I go to bed mad, our subconscious's calm down while we sleep and without fail every morning we both apologize to one another realizing we were being silly.

I dunno who came up with the "don't go to bed angry" thing, but it's so tough to do and the sleep just gives you time to relax and resolve.

So i say, go to bed mad!

I think this applies to anything -- I find it really hard to be angry about something the next day on, even if it's something I want to be angry about. I just end up like "Meh, why was I angry again? Be angry! BE ANGRY DAMNIT!"
The love I bear thee can afford no better term than this: thou art a villain.

It love and lust.

ANYWAYYYYYYY

So yeh trying to work thing out with the ex. Stayed with her at a hotel the other day for the night and spent the day together afterwards. It was ok but Im not sure I real feel the same way anymore and I now realise how negative she is. Shes also extremely high maintenence and Im not sure if its worth the trouble. Also now my family who really like her (because shes not miserable and depressed around them) heard about what happened and think we're back together and are happy, inviting her to come up and that. Unsure what to do.

I've procrastinated massively today... It's shameful. That and I could have gone cycling, but instead decided to sit on my ass pretending I was going to get work done...

I am struggling to stay awake now in Sydney airport. 3 hours sleep in 4 days is catching up to me (damn canceled flights). The fatigue is coming in waves.

As I can't just nod off cos i've got some expensive equipment with me, and i'm travelling on my own. Only 4 more hours to my next flight (a 14 hour flight from Australia to Abu Dhabi) and then i can finally get some sleep on the plane.

I NEED AN I.V. AND SOME CAFFEINE......... STAT!!!!!!!

Life is WAY too short for high maintenance, negative people dude. Seriously, she will eat your soul. Trust me, I was there...in THREE separate relationships over a period of ten years...THREE girls in a row, high maintenance, totally negative, and shit...eventually I sorted out who to stay clear from and met my current gf who for the most part is amazingly upbeat and super low maintenance. It is going to be better in the long run if you let the ex go man...just MHO though.
