I mean, ok, her singing career is a bit lagging and solely aimed at fourteen year olds, but not only is she a real looker, she's also so incredibly charming as a talent judge, just brings a smile to your face even though you can only understand half of what she says... And she's capable of kicking Simon Cowell's ass. Which alone ought to get her a lot of respect... horrible person that he is.
She's also a racist thug and wouldn't know real talent if it slapped her in the face. I'm kind of glad she isn't taking America by storm, if only they would get rid of Simon Cowell like they did her and maybe the evil that is the X-Factor might be no more.
Good sir, she positively melts when confronted with a near bald smoothly styled British African. So no matter how much of a racist she might be, there's a redeeming feature in that.
Well, only if that near bald smoothly styled British African had a wife who died and now has 5 kids to look after on a dish washers wages, with singing the only comfort in his life...
He can sing all he likes whenever he likes, and if he dreams of a career and works to achieve it, more power to him. I doubt miss Cole would disagree about that. What she disagrees with is that he should do it on 'her' (read: Cowell's) show.
It is a simple fact in life that if you participate in a TV talent show, you will be criticized not just on the quality of your singing but even more on how well a mainstream record label can market you, and how many people will send in text messages to see you through to the next round.
That is her job there: sifting out the good from the bad, the marketable from the not marketable and the mainstream from the niche, so that in the end there's a winner who will sell singles, make 1 cd that will sell well, and who is easily displaced and forgotten by his own clone the time next year's competition comes around. It is not fair. It is TV.
