That is pretty mental!! I dreamed in animation last week. And it was a sex dream too....
This didn't get enough attention. Nice.

A routinle laptop cleanup intended to take it apart to get to the air fans and take out the clouds of dust that collected there and my my laptop overheat after 15 minutes of running any game program dated past 2001 went horribly wrong.
The cleaning part was alright, the laptop hasn't been this quiet in months, but something went terribly, horribly awry when reconnecting the videofeed to the LCD.
as the result, I now view the internet through rose (or rather, magenta-)tinted glasses.
everything is so bright and the colour gamma varies from red to pink to light, pinkish purple.
worst thing is, I have to somehow make a powerpoint presentation tonight with my screen looking like that.
my eyes already hurt from the brightness, and i'm sure my red-gren cones are gonna be so overworked after a couple of hours that I may well go colourblind., perceiving the real world in weird shades of green.
and today was turning out to be such a GOOD day, ;wallbash:

That sounds really shit mate! sorry to hear it...whats your next plan of action?
I learned the hard way about opening things that I shouldn't when I was a kid. I had this amazing car which had a spinny thing in it that made it keep running, a gyro, and it was a technicolor gyro and I desperately wanted to see how it worked. I opened up the car and found out it was a piece of coloured card attached to the gyro...I couldn't put the car back together...even with tape, I cried like a six year old.

well tomorrow, i'll bring it in to campus tech support.
it's a hardware issue, so maybe they can just stick the stupid adapter is properly so that the black layer of dots (*insert explitive in regards to CMYK here*) will come on the screen and make the picture look normal again.
They're supposed to be computer engineering kids in there, hopefully they can put it together.
the annoying thing that this is the THIRD time I take it apart in the 4 years i've owned this laptop, and nothing ever went wrong.
the presentation will have to a generic black and white, since I can't possibly try to do something fancy if I can't even tell the damn colours apart
btw, how wayoff are colours in my sig?

well, most pics turn red--since bright-red is the new black.
i'll have to take a look at the shirt...
EDIT: in this odd colour-scheme, Frroks' shirt appears to be composed entirely of bacon
damnit, now i'm hungry..

well, like I said, black becomes red, so the shirt's composed of red and pink stripes.
some may say it looks like a type of candy.
I choose to say it looks like bacon.

This happened with my TV. Definitely a bad connector or somesuch non-critical failure.
Messing with my groove: QUANTUM MECHANICAL APPROXIMATIONS- WHAT AM I, SOME KIND OF CALCULATOR-MACHINE-DYNAMO-WHACHACALLIT? OH YEAH, A COMPUTER??
NO! I just spent the last hour collecting terms from the massive expansion of this problem. Something a computer could have done in about 3 nanoseconds. BUT NO, WE HAVE TO SHOW OUR GODDAMNED WORK.

Most of my colleagues at work are 20 years older than me and they get none of my jokes, none of my movie references and all they watch on TV is the news!

I caught the flu a few days back and it started to act up yesterday after Watchmen, preventing me from getting enough sleep.

submitted my laptop to campus repair people for them to take a look at it. i'm now computer-less for several days, woe is me.
more pressingly, got up way too late today, my head feels like someone's trying to hammer it into a cube.

I know you didn't mean anything bad by it, Frook, but no jokes right now. I'm .. pretty tense right now and if it hadn't been for a job interview tomorow (brilliant timing) I would be halfway down a bottle already.
