AAAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!! So, about a month ago I emailed the people that are arranging my US accommodation and said "Will there still be accommodation if I send you finalised dates in a couple of weeks?" They said YES! So what happens today when I send them finalised dates?! They say NO! Why do people say one thing and do another?!?!?!? It is infuriating.

It's because you use S's instead of Z's when you type finalized. We hate that.

My head is messing with my groove. I wish I could take it off and let it digest the braindamage by alcohol all by itself. As is the fact that accoording to me, it should be night now, but everything's bright oyside. I fear I am too old for sleepless nights spent partying :(.

Bloody students having nervous breakdowns with Christmas deadlines. So I get all nice and say I will correct a draft of the project on Sunday. Sunday evening comes, I'm checking my emails and guess what, no draft!!! Hang on, that should be making me happy.....except I will have to deal more with the nervous breakdown hassle tomorrow. Just write the f*cking thing!!!!

I'm with Virgin, but recently they cut me off for not paying bill, but bill paid! and then the service itself has been shit beyond belief patchy and slow. Its like there are hundreds of people using the same bit of copper and there are times where I seem to have to wait over two minutes to post and to add insult to injury my wifi setup has decided to go on the blink and I'm feeding a wire from my room to the modem. I'm seriously considering mobile broadband as an alternative...But I blame my ISP first and foremost for cutting me off in the first and providing such poor service...AARGH!

I have had horrible experiences with mobile broadband. I can't wait till their technology gets better around here, though - it would be nice to be able to get online anywhere!

It's been my opinion for years that the internet should be maintained and provided by the government. It should be a part of the countries infrastructure just like sanitation, roadsystems and electricity.

100 mb/s anywhere and everywhere.

In fact screw the current telephone and television networks, all that stuff should just go in under a national broadband system aswell. No more televisions and telephones, just a home computer system and small screens all over the house.

Amen to that, bother. I for one vote for Apt to become our national overlord, just so long as we get fast internet which is reliable.

I haven't even made it to Jersey yet! That has been messing with my groove for weeks. I'm not quite a teacher but I generally have PhD, MSc and medical students trailing off my apron strings throughout the year. My first ever PhD student passed his first year last week. That also messed with my groove because I hates the sexist little shit and now I am stuck with him for at least 2 more years. Grrrrrrr.

I desperately want to read the Healthy Dead and Blood Follows, but not a single site has anything close to a reasonable cost. *sighs*
