I now have to spend the next 12 hours (probably) reinstalling all sorts of crap on my computer. Which means Steam. Oh god, Steam and its endless updates   ;)

Flipping Mount 'n' Blade is doing my head in. Why do I keep playing it??

Try doing "Car delivery" missions in Red Faction: Guerilla. My god. For a game that's cursed with such atrocious vehicle handling they sure put a lot of driving missions in there.

Someone mention Red Faction: Guerilla?
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I have a four day weekend, and I've been ill every day of it so far.

I also had to deal with the results of a fatal road crash at work on wednesday, which involved a 3 year old. The driver (mum) died at the scene, and the kid made it as far as A+E, but there really wasn't much that we could do. It's still on my mind, dammit.

These things always seem to be due to a combination of badly-timed overtaking and big trucks - why can't people just put up with being 5 minutes late instead?

And, this time last year I was on an island in the Maldives.

Hurrumph!

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

My friend died 30 minutes ago....was with him in the hospital...he was 18
and what makes you even sadder was the way it happened, he was playing some variation of russian roulete or whatever and he misjudged where the bullet was...he shot himself in the headPosted Image
You hear about these stories and you say it's bullshit but then it happenes so close to you...

That's terrible Mr. J! So sorry about your friend. Stay strong buddy. You too Trav.

In light of all that, my messed groove seems trivial, but I woke up today with grazes all over my body, with no idea how I got them. I'm kinda dreading my imminent shower. And someone tagged my mailbox. Now my address is apparently 50 OM NOM NOM Street, Dick City. I laughed at the address, but still.

This is also trivial, but I finally got a magazine I've been hunting for weeks now, everywhere. My idiot brother left it at his friend's house, and I've yet to read it. Grrr.

Power outages.

Lots of goddammed power outages.

As in, about 70 or so hours cumulatively in the past week, including one thirty hour stretch. I would actually enjoy them to a degree, like I did when I was a kid, but I'm living in a place that only has electric heat. And I didn't have a computer or an Internet to miss/obsess-about-not-having when I was a kid.
I finally have an avatar ... and it's better than yours.

Couldn't get in to see Muse because it was too packed, so now I'm sitting on a train going home. Sigh.

Bloody English TV-rules denies me to see the match tonight. Somewhat odd that I'd get to watch it if I were back in Norway, but here in England I miss out.

Yeah, but it was at a festival, so it was really 'get there before the masses' to get a good spot.
