Anthony Head has died. Loved him in Buffy and Ted Lasso (though I kind of hated him in the latter but that was because he played the part so well, and the character was horrible haha)

Losing a pet is a kick in the heart for sure, but I agree with everyone else that giving them a good send off means the world.
And dang, Anthony Stewart Head is a sad loss too. I'm sure he was in a ton of UK stuff but here Giles was obviously his biggest role, and the warm blanket of the show.
And yesterday, the news of Marjane Satrapi (who created Persepolis, both the comic and the movie, among other things). Doozy of a week.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Thanks guys, appreciate it. :)

And yeah, ASH was great as Giles, but you can also see he had so much fun as the baddie in Ted Lasso.

What a beautiful girl. I'm sorry to read that Tsundoku, it's never easy. The kindest thing for them is inevitably the hardest for us.

Thanks, you are 100% correct. I nearly broke, definitely had apple-sized lumps in the throat and stumbled over my words a few times.

The mobile vet was amazing though, would recommend her to anyone.

Been thru this more times than i care to think about, it's always brutal. She clearly was well loved, and you made the right call.

What a shit couple of days.

Wife went to Manchester to see Take That on Friday. Stacked it on a degraded bit of road when going over the crossing outside Picadilly. Manchester services did fucking nothing to help her (which I am raising to them because of what was found when she did get medically assessed). She had to be rescued by friends and family, and when we managed to get her to the hospital she's turned out to have dislocated her entire fucking foot to the point she had to have it set once, then set again under general anaesthetic, and she will need a pretty major operation to repair the tendons and whatnot in her foot next week.

Top that off with her needing to stay in the hospital and I am not ok, I am especially angry that she was hung out to dry by emergency services considering she was immobile in one spot for the best part of a day and they just couldn't be arsed.

Bloody hell Maark, your Misso really has been having quite the shite time of it. Hope all goes well from now on.

That's awful. I hope she gets the care swiftly and can be home soon.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

She's had the first op, physio today, next op is at the weekend, I think. Hopefully recovery isn't too long from it because she isn't eligible for WFH, which means potentially some tighter months.

Yeah that's pretty bad. Being stranded in a strange place is its own kind of nightmare, on top of the injury.

Saw her up at the hospital today. The op yesterday to re-alight the main dislocation went well, she's mostly pain free but still needs the second op. She was in pretty good spirits, all considered.
