Man this is the quietest lead up to the 4th in this hood I can probably ever recall here. That said the new neighbors had better pick up these hundreds of bottle rocket remains they are launching in all directions. I've already had one land not 10 ft away from me. I felt compelled to make some noise in the mostly silent night around here and launch some old shells we have.

Couldn't you just have noisy sex in a pickup truck somewhere? Less chance of innocent bystanders being injured.

...well, physically injured... psychologically on the other hand...

The brother in law is back (the alcoholic drug addict)....

When all is said and done, it's your Mom's house and her decision. Since you personally kicking him out is off the table, your options are what you've been doing - lock everything up, stay on guard, and avoid him - or leave.
All of which sucks, but it's probably better you're there and able to look out for your family than not.

That said, pointing out the alcohol to your mom and sister so there is no 'i told you so' when he becomes a problem in the near future might not hurt.

Gorgeous day (29, feels like 37).

Because I had a hearing today I'm stuck waiting for a bus in a 3 piece wool suit.

2 more weeks without internet. Shakes are starting to intensify. If you don’t hear from me again just assume my crotch goblins freaked out at not being able to watch YouTube Kids and the entire SB clan descended into unimaginable chaos.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

Summer. Don't like being hot, don't like being sticky, and definitely don't like bright weather.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

You have contacted both the police and animal control, right?

Neighbor 1 dog got out, killed neighbor 2 dog.
You secured neighbor 1 dog in neighbor 1 yard.
Call police and animal control. Sounds like you're in the clear.

That is horrifying and scary but it sounds like you did the right thing.

We just had an "aftershock" (I suppose) that was bigger and longer than the first one. Google is saying 7.1.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

My house is okay, and it was finalized as a 6.9 so it didn't break the 7.0 barrier (still bigger than the Northridge '94 quake though, and closer to me). Usually I'm chill but that one really was scary. Also, just now, another (small) aftershock happened as I was typing this. I am "shook" as they say.

Oh I’m pretty sure I have a torn meniscus.

All my running ? All my squats ?

Nope lifted a heavy box and turned on a uphill slope.

Avoiding the doc like a plague kinda hoping it magically heals.

Fuck I can’t extend my leg out. This is terribly lame .. not a fan of getting old

That does not magically heal.

You need medical attention.
