I point out how they are the ones who insist on physical copies. He looks uneasy and says to just email them in the future.

I love this. Not. My current departmet head loves to demand I do the opposite of what she previously told me to do, and I am expected to be able to know that, somehow. Then I get a dressing down because I never communicate with her (which is bullshit, I send her emails for every little thing, only to be looked at like I'm an idiot), even though she never bothers to communicate what she wants, never mind not proof-reading her e-mails. Everyone if the company agrees that's bullshit, but she's been there the longest.

Right, messing with my groove RIGHT NOW is that I ordered a book at the start of February, and I have yet to set my eyes upon it. When it was supposed to arrive, I knew I wouldn't be home and rerouted it to the neares post office, AS I ALWAYS DO, only for the parcel to go missing. Like, the online status would tell be 'Yo, you better come and get yout shit within the week', and I'd go there and get told 'Nah, it ain't here'. The fourth time I went to the post office, this bastard of a clerk told me to my face that it's my own damn fault that my parcel went missing because I decided to use a service of their company. After all, the parcel would've endet up at the post office anyway if I hadn't been home. Like, sure, it's betetr to waste the time of the delivery guy and make him climb the three flights of stirs to my door only to leave a piece of paper that my parcel is being dropped off at the ost office. Aaaanyway, by that point I was pissed and my parcel should've been on it's way back to the seller because the collection date had passed days ago, so I asked the amazon seller I bought the book from to file for an ivestigation with the delivery company (DHL, looking at you there), and lo and behold, my parcel found itself a day later, only to be shipped back to the seller. Except it has vanished again just two days later and has been in poof nowhere for the past two weeks AGAIN.

I mean, I understand that sometimes issues happen, but how difficult can it be? And DHL have removed all contact information from their website (not difficult to guess why, considering their inability to deliver anything properly), except a phone number where one can listen to the charming automatic voice repeat the same shit that I can already look up online.

And I though the fact that they suddenly couldn't locate my adress on the town's main thoroughfare anymore was the height of idiocy.

@Puck: DHL were probably preoccupied with their KFC shipments.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Threatening bureaucracts in South Asia doesn't usually work in the slightest.

Having a game at 11 30 PM on a Sunday means even high doses of caffeine are of limited potency.

At least we won the game.

Daughter has croup. Ugh, what a crappy illness. Luckily it only lasts about 48 hours....but jeezus, the poor thing was hacking and coughing all weekend.

Mine had that last month. The worst part of hers was she'd cough so much in her sleep she'd throw up everytime she took a nap or slept for a couple days.

Good luck.

Yeah mine was doing that too.

I think she's through the worst of it now, but damn it was a trying 3 days for her.

stupid family crap. My parents have been married for 31 year (it's their anniversary today), but sometimes (especially recently as they are getting older) they are acting less and less like adults.

I am slowly becoming fed up with living in the middle of bilateral passive-aggressive sniping.

Same here. Is there an age threshold where your parents start to revert to being children again?

There is a charity race this weekend for cancer. Lots of people are pushing for me to do it because its for the cancer I had. However the races thing is that your supposed to run 5km in a speedo. Honestly I have no interest in jogging/walking/running 5 km in a speedo. I guess I'm self conscious about it. Seems odd to me to exclude so many people, make it optional.

I also feel annoyed in that the race offers participates free blood test screening for cancer as well. If your over 40. Which pisses me off because I'm not 40 but I had the cancer. Which I feel further demotivates me. I know they are just going by statistics but I feel they could include an exception for people who have had cancer.

True, but you can tell them that there are literally zero consequences in life to getting a two day suspension in middle school.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

@Ment
My parents separated then divorced after 31 years of marriage. They didn't hate each other, they just didn't want to be married any more. I dunno, maybe it's a late life reflection thing?

@BK
F**k the school admin, you stand up to bullies no matter what. Your daughter will be OK if she keeps that mindset, screw what all the modern namby-pamby, hang-wringing twats say.

My groove is messed with atm because my desktop PC died after 6 years. I'm getting a tech-savvy mate to check it out but it looks like all I'm going to keep is the monitor and keyboard. On top of the staggeringly extortionate power bill we have to pay soon, it's been a bad financial month. :)

@ Sombra: thanks for the thought. Seems like they patched things up somewhat. March is generally a weird month for our family.

Annoying me right now is the fact that I need to do work at home. On a Saturday.

I'm not too annoyed though, b/c
1) it's (most likely) the last time until after Easter
2) if I do this now, it means I'll have the free time to play volleyball on Mon.
