Got in big trouble at work. My supervisor’s boss is after me. It’s deserved honestly, I hate my job and it shows in the way I do it.

Sounds bad. I know its one of those things easier said than done but seriously consider looking for new opportunities if you have not already. Money makes the world go rounds no question but I have learnt a paycut if you can still live on it is still better than hating your work. Its work not play so I don't think anyone will ever LOVE their jobs but no one should hate it!
First world Problems! - I seem unable to plan a holiday to a japan that wont cost at least 50 000 Rand (4100 Dollars). This annoys me because I am so keen to go, but the opportunity costs is about the price of 2-3 other holidays

Mine too! Despite me being both more charming and funnier than most other members. It makes no sense.

I have wasted 2.5 months of various lab work trying to clone a plasmid. Their was a flaw in my pcr primer that led to my insert being out of frame. Short story it could never have worked. Its an embarrassing mistake and one I checked for before I started. The software missed it though because apparently it only translates frames that are at least 10 amino acids long. So I had my insert with a proper start region in my plasmid. But I also had a frame 5 base pairs earlier.
Not what I wanted my first few months at work to start with

Nope seems fine now. Good cause I was getting pissed off.
Did you not want the $100 gift card which we put there just for you?!?!?! Ah, well, in the bin with it then... Maybe we should go for Mc Donalds vouchers next time...
If you have not done so yet... register an account, go to your preference settings and turn off ads. Also, if you change the lay-out to MonoBook, that should get rid of pretty much everything non-Malazan. Although... if you did want those voucher....

You won't make that mistake again. I did more stupid stuff than that when I worked in research. All in a days work. Check check and check again before ordering. And get a colleague to check too when practical. I worked for a company where we weren't allowed to order primers without a second person signing off.

It's crazy cold here, and the wind is whipping the snow into a frenzy, and apparently it's going to get even colder tonight / this weekend...about -21 as a high tomorrow, -16 on Sunday without factoring in any wind chill (which is about 5 below on Saturday and 3 on Sunday, for you Fahrenheit folks).
So of course my soon to be sister in law wants to drive to Toronto this weekend to buy her wedding dress; I already said I'd go, not knowing how cold it was actually going to get. With my luck she'll want me to meet her at the ass-crack of dawn so we can get to TO for around noon. Blah. Why didn't I make up some excuse to get out of it?

Plumbers across US should be making a killing after this week with all the busted pipes.
Tonight will be the 1st night in a week it doesn't dip to low 20's. Shows 33.
And its annoying when i'm trying to get my plumber to finish the fixtures on the new construction i just built. Yesterday he showed up at 9, after being out till 11 the night before, and left at 1. But i get it, im not going to complain about him leaving to make sure someone has water/heat in this damn cold.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

Coming home late after “happy hour” knowing that mom is in a mood. She shouldn’t be getting bitchy over this since I only doing it once every couple of months.
