I've done homework for 2 hours. 30-40 pages of reading + some question/responses and calculations for a lab still to go.

Hooray!

OK so I want to join the police force and today is the beginning of the new recruitment phase. I have spent the last week downloading every single bit of info I can find on the application process and even found a current application online for a different force elsewhere in the country. Great thought I, I can practice! So I wrote it all out, got a couple of people to check it over for me, and thought that I could just copy and paste today and get it sent off... I get to the South Wales police website and find that the whole application form is in one big PDF which I can't edit and I have to print off and write out. And my handwriting is atrocious!

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I don't live near his patrol routes. All the graveyards are miles from my house.

I thought you were a teacher? Don't tell me dealing with the reality of todays' vile little brats filled you with the desire to beat them with a truncheon?

Or did it fill you with a different sort of desire to use a different sort of truncheon? Get a job as a scout master and you'll have the Pedo Treble.

Ugh, I went out for a load of beers and then a Garlic Chicken Chill Tikka with Sag Paneer and a Garlic Naan last night, I'm rough as fuck, dehydrated and all I can taste or smell is partially digested alcohol and old garlic.

PhD work is suffering accordingly.

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

Exactly, and what do you think I was doing all the time you were doing your PhD young lady?

It's payback time.
