Nope no cause or as of yet cure for us all. It seems a head scratching case, I've had MRI's, EMG's(nerve conduction test) and so have they, nada so far.

That's crazy mate. Hopefully they can get to the bottom of it. If all else fails, smoke some pot, maybe that'd help ya lol

On Tuesday, while I was on my way to uni, I ended up having a seizure in a car park (I'm epileptic, see). In the midst of that I managed to break my glasses and rough up my face and hands so bad that for days now multiple people have been asking me if I'd been on the wrong side of a beating. Was only able to get an optometrist appointment yesterday, and my glasses are going to take over a week to order. As I have no spares and can barely see on my own, this has quickly gotten annoying, especially coupled with the fact I can't put my hands in my pockets cos its hurts too damn much, and it's only been one day!

Blerg.

That's pretty shit, Mappo, hope you get your glasses as soon as possible!

I had a thing today that got cancelled, and things have generally gone downhill from there. Blerg too.

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

How exactly are your glasses broken? It might be possible to kludge them together or to wear a loaner pair (with your intact lenses in) until the specific ones you ordered arrive.

I recall using tape several times to patch together glasses as a kid when I would inevitably bash them up doing something stupid.

Best of luck with the seizure recovery and prevention too.

The right lens is smashed from where I faceplanted the asphalt and the frame snapped in half, so rather unsalvagable lol.

If you post in the pictures thread without a picture, you get down-voted. Silencer comes inn to tell us to lay off the .gifs because of traffic trouble, but he can't be bothered with adding a picture to the post. Warns us that anyone neg-repping his post for lack of picture gets banned indefinitely. To some the temptation/compulsion is just too hard to resist. Hence the wailing over our lost friend Apt.

View PostSilencer, on 03 February 2013 - 12:36 PM, said:

Nice of you to take the time explaining that. 'Course seeing as you're dumb enough to go do the same thing as Apt did, well, "bye-bye". :p

So how long are they banned for Silencer?

Well, that will really depend. I DID say "indefinite", after all. :p

But for the moment Apt has I think two more days on his ban (or less) and Satan has about three or four days. I gave Satan a longer suspension for being dumb enough to emulate Apt, fyi.

Then we'll revisit matters. :p

I did point out that there was compulsion in this. I knew full well what I was doing and I would do it again BECAUSE I HAVE TO! I'd say it's rather heartless and mean to take a piss out of people with obsessive compulsive disorder.

Also, I just want to point out that Messremb and Stormy are proper cock cheeses for unduing the good work of Apt and I. I must say, I am disappoint.

Say that you want the wedding to be about the two of you, with an intimate and meaningful ceremony. Remind her that she actually hates most of the people she knows, and slide in that having a large wedding is just too damn mainstream (her hipster genes will cringe at this (everyone has them (everyone but I, that is (this is called paranthesiception)))).

Just trust me on this.

OR rob a bank. How cool would that be?
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

That's the plot of a Jim Carrey film isn't it? "Fun with Dick"?

What? I cry myself to sleep thinking of Goodkind while having an outrageous desire to rob a bank with Jim Carrey instead of having a wedding?! I'M SO CONFUSED!
I still heart Goodkind.

You obviously need to turn this situation to your advantage and come up with a plausible story that involves you saving an old woman stuck up a tree from a gang of feral methheads... there are some obvious naked-time benefits you could generate from the whole 'and my hands are all busted up' thing at a minimum.
C'mon MapSack, make that glass half full....
