The awkward moment when you make a large book forum post and all the feedback and rep you gets from it is about a typo that says 'nads' instead of hands...

sigh...

Your post was riddled with typographical errors. Worrywort merely excerpted a mistake you wrote that actually makes a ton of sense, yet is incredibly funny in a dirty sense.

The phrase "power is now in the nads of mortals" somehow expresses perfectly what happens in the Malazan world over the course of the books. On the off chance you do not know what "nads" are, it is often a slang word used for "testicles" or "balls". The boldness of mortals is made out to be a great quality by Erikson throughout the books, so it is simultaneously a goof and perfectly fitting in a lewd way.

I suspect Erikson would approve of that typo, even if the others cause dismay. Do not think Worrywort is being a dick to hurt you. He's after some laughs and usually not directed in a negative way towards anyone.

Also, your book forum post rambles a bit off point. I'll write more in that forum to show what I mean.

Thank god your Amph to save us all from my errors. Im so sorry a long book forum post goes slightly off point

Also who doesnt know what nads mean

Yeh I meant to go back to it and get it sorted, as I wrote it very quickly, but I dont have regular computer access as my comp died the other day.

At work, nothing to do.

Short on cash. Been short for the past three months...it sucks!

Totally stressed out about my friend's weeding as I am the maid of honour, and she's a perfectionist, with too many plans for her wedding, which means a lot of work for me. Only two weeks left to go.

I've also been informed by a doctor that I have some sort of condition, which is pretty new and pretty rare, so they know fuck-all about it. She gave me antibiotics and crossed her fingers  I hope to the gods that it works, because it is driving me slowly insane... having a sort of diagnosis is good though, as I've struggled with this for years, and not knowing what it is has been tough.

Went to uni to do work, ended up at the bar.

Ah jeez. Imma pay for this.

You're starting to learn the ropes of uni life, young padawan.

Doing my best!

Somehow lost my wallet while at flinders street station. Had my debit card, concession card, learners permit, blood donor card and State Library card in it. I filled out a form in case it gets handed in but I severely doubt it.

Very pissed off right now.

I've lost my wallet at Flinders St & Spencer St stations in the past and both times I got them back. The time I lost it at Flinders St was during the Melb show so I figured I'd never see it again but it was returned a week later. Someone found it and gave it to a ticket inspector who put it in his lunchbox and forgot to hand it in until he went back to work after the weekend. Well, that's what the police told my dad when they called. Nothing was missing. I prefer the time I lost it at Spencer Street though - someone handed it into the newspaper kiosk. I got it back minus $5 but there was a note scribbled on an old ticket saying 'Sorry but I needed the fare.' I still have the ticket in my keepsake box XD

There are a lot of honest people out there. Hopefully one of them finds/found your wallet

Quick, look under your desk...there you should find a round, oval, or square receptacle for all paperwork which exceeds your capacity to complete. I like to think of it as "overflow" Mine is in such demand that I'm thinking about getting a secondary.
HiddenOne. You son of a bitch. You slimy, skulking, low-posting scumbag. You knew it would come to this. Roundabout, maybe. Tortuous, certainly. But here we are, you and me again. I started the train on you so many many hours ago, and now I'm going to finish it. Die HO. Die. This is for last time, and this is for this game too. This is for all the people who died to your backstabbing, treacherous, "I sure don't know what's going on around here" filthy lying, deceitful ways. You son of a bitch. Whatever happens, this is justice. For me, this is justice. Vote HiddenOne Finally, I am at peace.

So the wife made the switch from middays on the Rock station to co-hosting the morning show on the country station, it was a smart move financially and stress wise. But being the loving husband I am I listen to her show even though I dislike the music, which leads to me getting shitty country songs stuck in my head for days on end... seriously messing with my groove.

This month has been absolute ASS for all the things that have come up cost-wise.

It's like someone decided EVERYTHING was due right this fucking second.

Fuck.

I'm suffering from something like this too. Well, next payday, anyway. I think I'm gonna have like $50 left out of my fortnight's worth of pay. :S

I was just flossing and a part of one of my molars just came off...just a little piece, but not even from the end of it, rather from right on the gum line. My tongue is gonna obsessively flick at that tooth a bunch now and I'll be driven insane.

Your statement messes with my groove because that could happen at anytime with my teeth and I'd freak the fuck out.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

My 2 weeks out field was shit-tastic. Worked today counting stuff after it came back in from field.

Next 2 weeks are going to be just as bad, maybe worse.

Going in for surgery on June 1, which is giving me the heebie-jeebies every time I think about it, so I'm trying not to.

Tomorrow is Mother's Day and every half-decent restaurant near my Mum's place is booked out. I have no idea what to do now.

Make her a meal at home? You could lead in with something cheesy like "I've got to pay you back for a childhood's worth of meals somehow"

Home cooked meals are great.

If you want to treat her, do it yourself. Bonding maybe cook together?

She's your mom. She'll love you no matter what you do.

And yah I think bad teeth just run in the family, I'm not sure you need to worry HD. Unless you have the same problem, in which case, panic.

We're going with making some sandwiches and taking her to a nice park near her place. Something different.

We'd also take her to the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel movie, but we will also have Snotface along for the day and her tastes don't exactly run to that ...
