Welp, I just read further back and yeah, the post gap between the arguments about sexism being an easy way to make a dude EVIL (which I agree with) and HO's post threw me for a bit. I'll still stand by my post though, you see so many people arguing for the right to be assholes you just get sick of it. Besides, underdoing being PC hurts far more real people than overdoing it, though a balance is to be aimed for.

Illy, I often agree with some things you say, always amusing ofc, but you misunderstand my intent. I don't want especially to hear entertainers use racial/sexual/disabled slurs in particular. I just want the freedom of expression that must exist for that to be able to happen. By all means, let's teach our kids to be fair to those who are different. But we shouldn't have to embrace a culture that forces us all to think the same way, in a manner that has been dictated to us by a higher power of some kind.

Admittedly, I derailed this thread (not my intent, for the thought I expresses was earnest, if not in itself PC) and I will not attempt to carry out this conversation unless its needful and some modgod wants to move us to the discussion forum for neatness' sake.

But know that I don't get my opinions from a website, give me some credit. I just refuse to be told how to think, and therefore act. If one has a sense of ethics, then it should be apparent what is right & wrong. Besides, without the right to be an "asshole" imagine how much less interesting both my posts and yours would seem.

While I don't think it'll become as bad as you think, I appreciate your post here. Though to be fair, most of my assholery is towards voluntary facets of a person's identity. You don't choose to be gay, but you do choose to be a brony, and so on.

Leaving my final exam an hour early. 200 pts. Left 30 on the table. Probably missed another 60 on the outside. I have no idea what to feel right now.

Be glad you have finished and leave the worrying for another day. The effort is done now so all you have to do is consider options and draw up a battle plan for the likely outcomes. Stuff like exam results are so stressful but in the longer term, once the decisions are made with the options you have gained from the results you get, they will be a distant memory! Just keep on trucking and make the most of opportunities open to you. Even if you have totally fucked up, it doesn't change that you have to work through your options and make the most of them. Cold hard logic rules in situations like this!!

Doing my best!

Somehow lost my wallet while at flinders street station. Had my debit card, concession card, learners permit, blood donor card and State Library card in it. I filled out a form in case it gets handed in but I severely doubt it.
