My computer has decided to start woking again for some reason.

Groove- FA cup final defeat. Shit performance but Carrol coming on and changing the dynamic of the game gives me hope for the future.

I just finished ME3, and while I'm not launching into a seething, bitter mess about the ending...I'm not happy with it either.

Was woken up by my the family living directly below me but on the ground floor level because both she and my downstairs neighbour have a puddle of water in their electrics/ water pipe room. Turns out the leak probably has sprung in my appartment, the concrete around my water pipe is wet and the plastic under my lovely oak floor is moist. At best, a leak has sprung above ground (still a short-circuiting danger). At worst, half my floor will need removing, and whether this is going to be my insurance or the collective insurance of all home owners very much remains to be seen.

At least that's how I see it. But then, I'm a long time fan of anime where the long game and the hero are tropes that are played with to the nth degree.

I just can't seem to understand the fan backlash is all.

That's true, but I might let it slide. We'll see.

Groove is messed because the Monash Writer's Festival shortlist was supposed to come out today...nothing has come up. Annoyed and disappointed.

Ugh, don't get into it with author's who feel that, for example, Avenger's Loki calling Black Widow by a sexually-infused nasty name is sexist (which of course it is) but that somehow (to said author's mind) therefore Joss Whedon CHOSE to make Loki sexist and that's not right. *foot stomp* And why should Loki call her a name like that?! *double foot stomp*

To which I responded that he's the villain. Making him say sexist stuff is simply another reason to hate him.

To which he kind of took the stance that a villain is "Not allowed to be viciously sexist"...

Sorry, what's that Mr. Author sir? The villain...is allowed to be villainous in all ways...so long as he doesn't make sexist comments because that's too far?
