Coffee date thingo went down like a charm
Now to navigate the tricky "when's it appropriate to ask her out again?" minefield!

Ah to be young and think this stuff is important.
the whole "I have to wait # days before calling to show I'm aloof and not desperate" is not something I miss about dating. It's probably the BIGGEST head game amongst youths.
I don't envy your having to deal with that AIJ, but I can offer you my advice.
What I used to do is message immediately after the date (when you get home) and say "Just wanted you to know I had a great time!" to allow her to know you don't want to brush her off...but then leave it be for a day or two and then message her with a follow up date idea. This way she doesn't think you're uninterested, but she also doesn't feel you are cloying and desperate.
I have to disagree.
The proper way to play this is to arrange asap to show up 'spontaneously' somewhere where you know she'll be and then offer to whisk her off to an on-the-spot date for coffee, drinks, whatever. Optimally you break into her place so you can be by her bedside when she wakes up. Outside the bathroom when she emerges from the shower is also good, but don't hide IN the shower because she may not be fully awake and then i can't be responsible for the consequences.
Show her you really care by disposing of unwanted local homeless people and wearing glitter, then ignore her for months on end ...

Did you see her get naked in the Flaming Lips video? Not that you necessarily want to, just curious.

I've not watched it yet. Though it's not new, she gets naked more than she stays clothed. Part of her persona. Actually, she's naked and drawn on with ink in the video for one of the singles off the new disc called WANT IT BACK (great track btw).

Super happy with my new haircut. I had about 10 inches cut off, so I was a little nervous about the end result. But I love it

Heading up into the Smokey Mountains now to greet the sun and do some fly-fishing while listening to A Clash of Kings. Will be a beautiful day (as long as I don't accidentally go swimming).

Snotfaces' team won their soccer grand final 2-0!
No more having to take her to the game and 2 training sessions a week until next April!
(What, you thought I was genuinely happy just for her? You obviously don't know me as well as you thought you did

Yes!
Now maybe those f'ing Packers fans who've been acting like they have the best team of all time before they'd even played a game can shut the hell up.

Goddamn did they get worked. Blew the doors off the vaunted Packer defense, kept them to one TD in the first half, and basically walked all over Rogers.

As it was my 5 year anniversary at work, I got a mini-bonus last week and so I've used it to buy a batch of new books...7 of them all told, costing me a "whopping" $95 (tax and shipping included). Now I just have to wait for them all to be delivered; it's like an early Christmas, lol.
