Ive just dug out a portion of toe nail that has caused my foot to be woefully infected and painful for every single step. There was blood everywhere but im now free from its pain until it inevitably grows back.

Honestly it feels amazing to put weight on my left foot without shooting pains in my toe.

Note for future fixing of this issue: Get a bucket. Fill it with almost scalding hot water and scoopfuls of salt. Soak foot until water cools. Repeat once more. I had the same problem before (I now keep my feet in better shape), and what happens is the hot water and salt soften up the infection and will eventually release the pus and blood in the water. I've had to do this twice in my life and it worked both times. Hopefully you can let the nail grow out enough so that it can be trimmed properly in future. The release of the pus and blood will (as I'm sure you now know) ease the pain considerably.

Owwww...ingrown toenails suck! Glad to hear it's been taken care of but yeah, be careful when the nail grows out. I've had toenail issues for a while now and my doc told me that one of the biggest "do not do's" is cutting the nail too short. However, if it keeps recurring you might want to get it checked out as it could be a fungal infection (that's what I had) and if it is, you may need antibiotics. I didn't need them but that's cos the infection I had / have is verrrrry minor and the potential side effects from the antibiotics were worse than the actual foot issues.

Just back from an awesome Tom Petty show at the Albert Hall - and even better is having tickets for Wednesday night as well. And Sky Arts 1 showing IOW festival this weekend with TPATH on Friday and the Boss on Sunday.

6 months worth of Funny/weird/nasty/awesome pics 2.0 in the last two days. Chortle chortle.

I especially like the "how many policemen does it take to change a lightbulb?" joke, and that question about "where can I learn the Skyrim languages of Dovah and Deadric?" is quite possibly the funniest answer I've ever heard. Pure genius.

This forum is epic.

Got my Firefly DVD back today after a goodly little catch up  Also stayed at a friend's house where we watched Dr Horrible (sang along to everything), did tequila shots and then had some guilty-pleasure sex/relationships talk. Then everyone wrote in my journal wishing me farewell and good luck in Africa! God bless them all :)

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

Listening now via Spotify, it lives up to the hype and then some. "Valentine" is a particular favorite so far.

Agree, I also like Periphery a lot.

What I am noticing so far (2nd listen) is how she seems to WRANGLE a lot of the songs into shape during their running time. Like the rhythms of the instruments and her tone and vocals don't exactly match up in the beginning of each song, but she slowly, inexorably wrangles them shits into place so that by the time the chorus rolls around it all works in very unique and sometimes unorthodox ways.

I've said it before, but she really is clever at being cutting edge, while having not lost her 90's Alt sensibilities.

I too like Periphery.

What is making me happy is England coming top of the group (it won't last I know but I'm happy for the time being...)
Also, today I discovered the coolest song I have ever heard... (not metal, in case anyone is worried...)

A Haunting Poem
I Scream
You Scream
We all Scream
For I Scream.

Been staying the the gfs house for a few days, which has been good fun for obvious reasons (giggety) and she also got me presents, one of which was a tshirt I asked for with the green extra life mushroom from mario on it with the phrase 'get a life' underneath. Its fucking epic and im tempted to buy more (all) of them. I also went the doctors as ive been in pretty bad pain for a while now with a suspected hernia but apparently its long term strained cartilage just under my ribs, so ill have to lay off the deadlifts for a while. Still better than a hernia.

Its also my birthday this weekend and I will be getting unbelievably steamboated saturday night.

I'm fairly cheap, as it goes (quiet, you lot!) £375/d. My power is XML/XSLT and training, but don't worry, it can only be used for good.

Are your friends named "The 1980s?"

I'm kidding, that's very sweet of your friends, but a hand written letter and a mixtape are oldschool. It's like the time I went on vacation and my friends got me a giftcard to the local blacksmith and a telegram. The signed daguerreotype was sweet too.
