Nope. I did what Grim and Amph suggested. I used a calorie/fitness App on my iPhone to keep track of daily calories and I told it how much I wanted to lose. It dropped me about 200 calories a day from what I had been eating and slowly I lost weight bit by bit.

It's actually quite surprising how many calories we take in on a daily basis and don't realize it. For example, I used to think nothing of polishing off a bottle of wine or a 6-pack of beer...and didn't realize that adds up to more than half your daily calories right there. If you eat 4 slices of pizza that is 3/4 of your daily intake. So I think people just go over every day and don't realize it.

Simply paying attention to what I was eating, drinking lots of water, and walking at about 2.5KM/hr about 30 minutes each day (which is basically the walking to and from bus and subway on my ways to and from work), and dropping the weight was fairly painless. I never really feel like I am dieting much.

I'm looking to lose about another 5 pounds which puts me in the correct and healthy weight for my age and height, at which point I'll flip my calorie/fitness app to the current weight I am and I should be able to maintain it.

A bunch of Sandman collections I purchased on ebay a while ago finally arrived and are looking very good on the bookshelf :p

I got 95.25 for my ATAR score.

Kinda missed out, but I got into that second choice course which wasn't exactly a guarantee either. And maybe I can transfer.

Also: last night there was a green tree frog on our back steps - quite a big one. It modelled for a few pics then hopped off. Now ever since then Kalam has been hopping around the house. Actual 'feet together' jumping from one side of the house to the other. Trust me to own the world's only cat that thinks it's a frog! :p
