Waging war on my eardrums with Opeth at full volume of the headphones. Makes the office background go away quite nicely.

Also stops me from thinking too much about stuff that causes me insomnia.

My dad's still alive, despite almost dying two days ago? How 'bout that? That makes me extraordinarily happy.

I cycled back from work on my shiny new bike, and I knocked 7 minutes off my best time of doing so, and I don't feel too knackered despite working 18 miles from my house. I feel good!

Seen First Class. It was pretty decent, imo.

Just got back from watching a very feisty soccer match between my club (University) and a local rival in the Chatham Cup (which is New Zealand's version of the FA cup). It was a really testy affair, and we managed to get a late equaliser to send the game into extra time, and then ran out 5-1 winners. The other team had 2 men sent off by the end. Plenty of amusing banter on the sideline kept us all entertained through the game as well.

A good victory for the lads after a tough few weeks (one of our players collapsed and nearly died on the field about 3 weeks ago). But that player is doing better now, and the rest of the team have rallied around and won a couple of big games since. And I managed to get a photo sequence of the game winning goal (i.e the one that made it 2-1) so I'm happy too.
