So, I'm off for the next ten days to eat loads of okonomiyaki, play pachinko and soak my old body in onsen. Putting this here just in case someone starts wondering why I'm not lurking here as usual... but there is a real world out there, after all. :p
The problem with people who have no vices is that generally you can be pretty sure they're going to have some pretty annoying virtues.

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

Never tasted Guinness before tonight. It was pretty awesome.

@DW, LOG were actually pretty good last night I had a great time. August Burns red were also good. Between the Buried & Me were OK, and Job for a Cowboy were plain old meh. Enjoyable night and I have some epic bruises as proof. Wall of Death + hot women not wearing much + metal = good concert!

I am going to see Mastodon next week and I am even more excited about that one...

EDIT: Also, I really dislike Slayer, so I'm glad I wasn't at that gig!

Seems like we would have both disliked the show I went to equally. You're right though, a mosh pit + lots of hot women + metal = a great time.
Now Mastodon I'll be slightly jealous of, since Tom Arya hurt his back the Slayer-Megadeth tour has been postponed for a long time, we had good tickets to at the local arena.

A rather unheard of 6 piece technical metal group (in the vein of Textures and Meshuggah) who until recently have only had a single demo out with three rather astonishing tracks on them... They were going to be the next underground band to watch but for about a year there has been absolutely nothing. Two new tracks can be found on their myspace whilst the demo is available for purchase somewhere... I can't find it on their website anymore... I could send it to you if you wanted it... :p

This day rocks for many reasons:

1. Got off work early.
2. Was given 2 paycheques today.
3. I have a case of beer chilling in the fridge.
4. The freakin' Olympics start today! :(
5. It's the weekend!
6. My pain in the ass roommate is at work and won't be home 'til midnight-ish.

Had a great party last night, lots of fun and food, and also some kegs of beer that I found on special offer!

I also discovered my new guilty pleasure... SingStar for the PS2... We started playing it quite late after people had had a few, and it was so much fun. :(

SingStar rules! When you're pissed, anyway. Even better than Wii Sports!

Only 16 hours until I will be at the cricket. It's been too long.
