Made dad 4 different meal preps, split into two containers each so he could spread them out, put them in the cooler and headed out to his place Saturday. He was super gracious to receive them. I then went out to do some of the shopping for his staples that he needs for the house, and got him some fruit and veg, brought them back to his place and cut everything up and into continuers for ease of snacking. Then we had a spot of lunch and watched a movie together, and then chatted for a few more hours. Had dinner with him and then off home in the evening. My niece stopped by to bring him a card as she was in town looking at a wedding venue, so that cheered him up too. Once I got home he texted me to let me know how much it meant that I cam by and how much it helped his mood just to have me there.

So that made me feel good and helped me know that what I had done (which I didn't think was enough) was plenty to him.
