Thursday, house goes on the market. Friday, 12 separate people are booked in to view. Yesterday, first two viewings happen and today we get an offer at only £5k under asking price. We're holding out for more viewings as we think we can get at least asking price (which will give us a lovely big deposit for the next house)!
Only problem is I have to keep working at current job til May and am likely to be homeless for a month haha

Selling a house is usually not fun, but it seems to be going well for you guys! Good luck and hope you get asking or over asking!

I think one offer in the first two viewings is a good sign that you'll be able to get that asking price from the remaining ten viewings. Good luck!

Job interview on Monday. Asked to come for an interview within forty minutes of being put forward. If I get it, at minimum it will be a £6.5k pay increase.
Absolute madness but on that quick a response I feel quite hopeful!
EDIT: slightly less momentous, but also bagged tickets for the live War of the Worlds tour next year for my dad and I

The past 74 days have been such a thrill! I’ve never been so emotionally invested in a video game in my life and I’ve played some gems in my 39 yrs on Earth but wow Death Stranding was leaps and bounds above anything else. I’m left so mystified and grateful that I’m probably going to write a letter of praise(not BK style but from the bone and guts Tanner style I haven’t unleashed since 2002 in college) to Hideo Kojima/Kojima Productions. I haven’t been this motivated since I came close to sending a burn letter to Netflix after axing Sens8. Man I hope it’s read and not just discarded among all the other daily things he/they probably get daily
Game was a true masterpiece.

Glad you really liked it. From what I can tell, studios and makers really like that kind of letter.

Weekend, finally! Going to look at a house tomorrow; pretty sure it’s not going to be the one but pretty awesome to be at the stage where we can actually look (better not look too close at how long it will take us to pay back the mortgage though).

Looks like Spring is yawning, stretching its arms, and waking up in these parts. Had temps north of 70 °F yesterday. Remnants of the gross, jagged, dangerous ice has almost completely melted away (been one of the worst winters for that). Put a case of talls in the garage fridge (everyone has one of them garage refrigerators, right? ), and downed some cold ones as I putz'd around in the yard doing an assessment of what projects I need to start soon as the warm weather builds. As the day wound-down, saw the full moon in the sky while sun was still up, was expecting skunks to be out last night scentin' it up, but I think it might still be too early for them.
