The fencing for driving ranges is a bitch. Requires a unique skill set for that aspect of the project.

Just don't fore-get macros, it takes a lot of green to keep your range from becoming sub-par. It's easy to fall into a hole-in-one bad move bringing you tee-tering close to the edge.

Yeah but with the forthcoming apocalypse you might as well get on with it while there's still air.

Ours is up as well. No reason not to get it up and enjoy it for a long time.

Oh really? I didn't realise that. Seems awfully early to me, but hey ho. Enjoy the festive season!

Spoke to my horse riding instructor after tonight's lesson about my goal to get back on the horse I did my dressage test on last year (it's the sort of way mark I have in my head of when I'm back up to speed to where I was). She said I'm pretty much there, she'll let me settle back in after the new year break and then there's no reason I can't get back on him for flatwork and then we can work up to jumping (he's an ex steeplechase racehorse, and has never yet seen a jump he didn't want to take like it was in the Grand National).

Pleasantly surprised and very excited! Posted Image

Just got re-employed at the library I was working at!

My temp contract ended November with no more options for extension. They made my work into a new position at the library and after 90 applications and 4 interviews the job is mine.

Just the knowledge of having permanent employment after working on contract for so long feels amazing.

Didn't know Walmart had that available. Sam's Club, sure, they have everything.

Which one, worry?

Puck, how on Earth did it take that long? That is beyond any definition of reasonable.

My mother refused to call the landlord on account of the repairs potentially costing money. Never mind it was likely to be his responsibility, and as it turned out eventually, it was. When it finally got too cold to pretend it doesn't matter so much, she caved and called and we got a new water heater installed within two weeks. Cost us nothing.
As to why I didn't call myself, the landlord insists on the main tenant calling about such stuff and that I am not.

On topic: food! Work Christmas dinner is amazing!

Just took my little boy to meet Santa for the first time. He was in a really crap little grotto in the town square. £1 to get in, a proper low rent Santa. I was a little disappointed he didn't smell of stale booze. He asked my son if he's been a good boy and he said "No". At least he's honest!

Went to Walmart and got laid for the 1st time in 10 days. Oh my. Then I went inside and bought a pecan pie. Fixing to try Wendy's new maple bacon chicken sandwich with some chicken nuggets. Nice day so far.

Speaking of, didn't your sister eat a bunch of your pies or cakes or something that you bought special for yourself earlier this year? Not that I'm trying to stir up trouble.Posted Image

That look on the cashier’s face when all you put on the counter is two tubs of sour cream and a bottle of KY and then you feel compelled to say, “They aren’t related.”

Which is also the opening line to a southern wedding. Mostly.
