Today while my wife is away I'm finishing up the nursery (assembling the basinet, and the stroller, and shifting the last of the "guest room" things out of the nursery). It makes me happy to know how close we are getting now to being parents. Scary, but exciting!

Played first outdoor game of the season

cons: we gave up a 2:0 lead to draw.

pros: I still remember how to slide tackle efficiently. Neither of the 2 yeallow cards on my team was for me.

Due to an abrupt scheduling shift, I now got 3 days of work time to catch up on regular work, instead of an intense task I was supposed to be dealing with.

After months of dry weather, it is seriously pissing down here at the moment. I'm happy because I'm at home and it's great sleeping weather.

If I was at work or even out in the field, this would be in the other thread.

EDIT: also, things have been arranged at work that means I should be able to make the wedding next weekend.
