In a bit of bad news turning into good news, the new policy in the Mormon Church of not just attacking gay couples but also the children of gay couples has led to some pretty strong anger, protest, and even mass resignation from the Church, and it appears to be a thing that will be ongoing: http://www.reuters.c...N0T414G20151115

There's a guy on Reddit basically sending people forms allowing you to resign from the church and not be harassed. He is based in Utah and is able to do it from anywhere in the world. Once the church gets a letter from a lawyer they stop sending people round to try and intimidate you into returning. He has done it for free for a few thousand people, last I checked...

While the adult, logical side of me thinks this is a little unsafe, the kid in me that has seen enough doom and gloom for one day thinks this is piss funny. :(

I can see that, I'm not a massive fan either.
Imagine I'd posted without description, and you clicked!!!
It'd be me you were looking to slap.

He's not too bad in this clip. Subject matter is more the star.

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Getting a lot of Dawkins/Gervais hate here.
I'll be honest, I was expecting Gervais negativity, but hating on Dawkins? Really?
Ah well.

Dawkins is getting shrill, small, and mean as he ages. I suspect that's the problem.

Personally I've not been a fan of Dawkins since his days of being a popular science writer and long before his days of being a crusading atheist. From reading his essays aaround the time of The Selfish Gene, and The Blind Watchmaker, I always got the impression of a douchebag with a monstrous ego, and not particularly stellar research. His response to critiques of his theories at the time were to build even more layers on top to explain away problems rather than look more closely at his reasoning. Frankly I tuned him out as a scientist around the late nineties, and thought he was done til he popped up with his anti-religion stuff. And despite being non-religious myself, I find him to be a douche in this area as well.

Gervais can come across as a prick as well, but at least he is occasionally funny

I used to subscribe to Dawkins on FB newsfeed but had to remove him after some time. The man seems to lack empathy and imagination

Gervais, on the flip side, ruins everything he's in by being the unfunniest bastard in existence. He's unfunnier than Roger, archival of Funnie.

Have you not read anything Dawkins has written or said in the last five years?

Sorry for the rough words everybody but I like to think of them as Richard Dorkins and Ricky Jerkface.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.
