So this was overall a great Christmas day. Spent it at home with family, and tons and tons of home cooking. Feeling pleasantly full.

Received The World of Ice and Fire from Snotface for Xmas. So I'm sitting reading it, while one of the maps from The Lands of Ice and Fire (the Known World) is at my feet. It certainly helps.
On the TV is the Boxing Day Test match (cricket) and there's a Hoegaarden beer in a stubby cooler on the coffee table next to me. Life is good.

Anyone who knows me knows I am not exactly a big fan of the whole Christmas schtick, but this video is just about the coolest Christmas-related thing I have ever seen:

I love my new 25" 2560x1080 monitor. It automagically will divide the screen into 2,3, or 4 zones and resizes each windows to match the zone they're moved in to.

My best friend just bought the malazan books from GotM through to tBH. HELL YES! Though she'll only get to reading them in a few months, but.. oh, this makes me so happy! Also, a perfect opportunity shall arise for a reread alongside her first malazan experience

Just bought this. Fastest impulse buy ever.
And almost bought this and I'm not even that big of a Star Wars fan.

An album that I had previously considered decent but potentially overrated is growing on me quite massively.

This is going to seem weird but spent the entire day cleaning out my room and got rid of a lot of garbage and dust. I hadn't cleaned in ages. Feeling fresha nd clean now. Also found loads of cash in loose change.
