Got back to exercising yesterday! Felt good, and the muscles ache today which is good

Spent two flipping hours on the phone to the mortgage people but I now have the process rolling for the new house and also sorted out buildings insurance (a mandatory requirement to get a mortgage) as well as a bunch of additional insurance things covered for an excellent rate - it does pay to keep everything (bank account, mortgage, insurances etc) with the same company, they keep giving me discounts for staying "in house" as it were!

We had another session of our Fantasy Craft campaign tonight.
After establishing that yes, my character can actually run faster and far more agilely than a race horse when she wishes (and yes she's a medium character), we got off to a good start. Murdered some elves (and a shitload of their horses), were smarmy to some undead, and then we finished with one of our party members getting a triceratops for a mount (he is a giant, so needed a nice huge mount). Unfortunately said triceratops is still untrained and went nuts. That is until I wrestled it to the ground like the badass I am
Was a fun session, and I am thoroughly enjoying the way this character is going

had a solid day today--went out drinking with some friends to watch Champions' League finals. Solid match, though I must admit, despite wearing red, that Dortmund showed a much higher class of game tonight. Still, as a not-too interested party, the game was great, and I got to catch up with a bunch of friends whom I last saw during my winter break.

I may have just fixed the gearshift on my friend's bike (that he hasn't ridden in ~a year) for him.
I'm drunk, and I am resisting the urge to take it for a test ride....
I probably will anyhow. But riding through my friend's neighborhood in San Francisco is highly ill-advised. It's even odds that I'd get stopped by the cops, or mugged.
I'm gonna let the idea marinate for a few minutes.

Just watched "The Fall", ridiculously awesome locations in the movie. Also a featurette called "Wanderlust" on the dvd too. Never really have the urge to travel myself, but that movie just gave me a hefty nudge.

Finally went and bought the Republic DLC for Crusader Kings II. Don't know where 6 hours of my life went yesterday evening playing as Gotland. Goddamn but it makes the game fresher! Can't wait for Old Gods.

The Republic is heaps fun, but there's an argument that they're a little overpowered. Particularly Gotland who have no rivals in the north at all until the Hansa show up. Being able to make so much gold is awesome, but being able to take on the HRE as the republic of Sicily is a little crazy.
But come on Vikings! I'm running out of people to play as.

Had a terrific full day. Writing class, then lunch, then drama class, then a dance workshop. I'm pooped, but in the good way

so, the place I volunteered at last summer can't offer me a full-time articling position.
However, they are willing to give me contract work at a decent rate, so I can work there while I'm looking for a place to article.
So, in a nutshell: I have a temp job now, that'll pay me decent (though nothing awe-inspiring) wage. Which is ridiculously close to where I live, with people I already know.

Bought my first item for our first house (still don't know when we will be completing but meh). It's a gardening book!! I will be a gardener, I will, I will, I will. I'm planning a vegetable patch, some blossom trees and an English cottage/wild flower garden fusion with a herb garden tucked in near the house

Hehe yah. I'm not too into them anymore, but everyday before high school I would read the advice column in the newspaper because it was in the same pages as the comics, and you could pretty much always spot the letters from people who obviously wanted their side of a dispute confirmed rather than seeking actual advice.
