Ahem...not in Quebec, alas. We have to slog to work on Monday like the rest of North America. I guess we're not supposed to want to spend time with our families? Or we're not allowed to, because we're a "distinct society" and blahdiblahblah.

I got on a ranked team in League of Legends, which is something I've been meaning to do. We've got our first scrimmage tomorrow.

It's not going to be a huge time commitment, since we have members across 3 timezones, we can pretty much only practice for a window in the afternoon (for me). But it's much better than the proto-team I was on before, with some of my friends from college. We have our own vent (voice chat) channel, and everyone's on pretty much every day or every other - so it's much more likely that we can get a 5 man team together (there are 7 of us total, 2 potential alternates)

I think the roughest part will be trying to solidify team positions, since currently we all just sort of do everything differently each game. I'm the junior member, too, so I don't get that much of a say.

I eventually replaced my PS3 and now own a copy of SKYRIM baby.
In other news, my 6 week old boy is absolutely gorgeous!
And while he may be a screamer and an insomniac to boot, he's MY little screaming insomniac!! Who's in serious danger of getting eaten if he's not careful (or screaming!)

Getting back into Golfing! Super psyched.

I used to be amazing in League of Legends, but as i grow older videogames are losing their appeal sadly..maybe Diablo 3 will reacitvate my interest. I did PindleRuns with my Engima ZON so many times.

So he got... Well nevermind, I'm not going to spoil it for the kiddies.

Making me kinda happy is my friend came out of the closet, to me first, and I think it's the best damn thing for him (gonna be honest here and say HE might have been the last to know).

Also, he picked me first.

Because it makes the person finally feel that they don't have to hide how they are. Most everyone has friends and family that will love them regardless of their sexual orientation, but there is always that ingrained fear that everyone will leave your side in disgust. It's a great moment to admit it to yourself and those around you, and find that they all love you still in your openness.

I don't think I explained that well.

I was the first person five of my friends came out to first.

My reaction to the first friend was 'Well that was a given.' (Not the reaction they expected)

My reaction to the second friend was 'Cool. Do you want the last slice of pizza?' (Not the reaction they expected. Upon seeing how disenchanted with my response they were I proceeded to exclaim very loudly 'Congratulations!')

My reaction to the third friend was 'I'm flattered, really. But I prefer d***' (Yep, not my finest moment and not the reaction they were hoping for)

My reaction to the fourth friend was 'Does that mean you're going to start ordering girlie drinks when we go out? I'm veto'ing anything with an umbrella.' (Not the reaction they expected though to be fair that's exactly the kind of response they should have expected from me given our friendship.)

What I don't get is why they came out to me in the first place - I mean, they'll each tell you that I'm the straightess person they know. Heck, I make ruler's jealous! *shakes head* One day I may, may, start to understand people.

EDIT: Oh, the fifth one my reaction was 'Seriously, do I not have any straight friends?' Funnily, that was the kind of response they were expecting.(Though technically, the fifth one was before the fourth one....I've done this out of order.)

Just found out that Dead Letter Circus are playing in Canberra a week after the Butterfly Effect, and tickets are only $20. Best week ever? :p

First assignment for the year is done & dusted!

Which is pretty good given that my course doesn't even start until Monday! :p

Have two more assignments due around the time ME3 comes out so I'll be starting them tomorrow.
