Whew, Firefly! You go Tiste :)

A fabulous case of unexpected surprises occurred yesterday. My friend cancelled, yes, but I happened to run into another...then we ran into, by even more of a coincidence, a mutual friend. Eventually the first had to leave, but the second very nicely invited me to come browse with them at Vic market, which lasted all day :( Couldn't have been happier with it.

Aww we got 4th at our pubquiz. Well let's be honest, we've never gotten better than 3rd (which wins money), but 4th is probably a sign that we're on our game.

So, after finally recognising my crippling depression and booking an appointment with my GP to get some help (of course it's the on 23rd because NHS but whatever I'm not pretending it isn't a problem) I'm off to spend a weekend with a really good friend which should absolutely make me feel a bit better. Of course, I have no job to help me keep my money up and the cycle of no jobs will continue as per usual for my city and local area and I'll probably have to go back onto jobseeking benefits even sooner than I thought which is always a nice pick-me-up and ARGH FUCK I'M DOING IT AGAIN

I'm going to play games and hang out with my friend and it will be awesome.

Mrs. QT fully pulled the wool over my eyes and surprised me. There is a party on the weekend for all my friends for my Bday, but last night was just Mrs. QT taking me to the Keg for steak...and when I got there all my friends were at the restaurant. Surprised the CRAP out of me. Went red, got a bit misty. It's a nice feelin' and I did NOT see it coming.

Did something similar for my stepdad. My mum told him to get dressed were going out later then periodically bus loads of people just turned up at the house for a big house party.

She had to tell him we were going out later otherwise hed have been sat in his boxers on the couch :(
