I put about 30 book in bags last night to take to the used book store. So that's something.

I also cleared out a bunch of crap I'll never use again (3 big black garbage bags worth), took apart two shelving units that won't be joining me at the new place and dismantled my kitchen table (I don't use it to eat at currently anyways). It's starting to feel like I'll be moving.

First day back at work today and it wasn't nearly as craptastic as I feared it would be. Yes, it was busy but not nuts and I wasn't once tempted to ram my pen in someone's orifice (pick an orifice). If the rest of the week follows suit, I'll chalk it up as a good one indeed.

Actually got asked by management if I wanted to get moved to the new design project... everyone else has been told they where getting moved, I was asked. And then when I had my one on one with the director of the new project he actually asked me which section I wanted to work on and it looks like I'll get my first choice.

I just got contacted by my oldest friend, who I haven't seen since I moved to Brisbane (so a good few years now), and she's considering coming to visit

Took a friend to The Dresden Dolls concert in Brisbane last night.... it was fricken AWESOME.... The warm up acts were hilarious/beautiful/awesome and the 2 hours of Dresden Dolls was just AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of the best gigs I have ever been too!

And I got kissed by a random guys and a random girl! Only on the cheek, but was still nice

Today was a good day.

Heard from my old friend, got some cleaning done, enjoyed the company of Sombra, Shiara and Centz while putting together Sombra's awesome new computer. Sombra's awesome new computer only had a few small issues when putting together and I got it all sorted before he needed to head off.
Then had a few good games of Dungeon Defenders with Centz after a tasty dinner.
And now "The Illy" is making me laugh (probably more than it really should

So I went out drinking with a collection of friends for a belated New Years Eve party, and it was awesome. Only downside was the friend I was going to visit by train in the morning is ill, so I won't be able to head over until next Saturday. Of course, this meant I could stay out for the whole night and meet loads of new people and get a bus back home at ten to eight am in the morning, which was fun.

But that's not important, because two of my friends, the last secondary schoolmate I have left, who is also one of my very best mates, and his missus who I've known for years, are getting married this year, and they've asked me to be their best man. I of course said yes, so I'm the best man for my two best friends in the world for their weddings. The best thing about it, though? One is getting married on the 4th of August this year. The other is getting married on the 11th of August this year. This is going to be so fucking awesome.

Watched the rest of the Big Lebowski and consequently feel awesome, had a noice ol' BBQ dinner, and having fun scaring those dumb-fuck cockatoos out of our conifer tree using a high-powered hose. ^_^
