Been a busy day today!
Got up at 5 am and we went straight to the station. Took a train to Zermatt, then another one up to Gornergrat. At 3112 m it's the highest place I've ever been to! Also, the view of the glaciers were... stunning. I couldn't comprehed the vast amount of space I was seeing, the valleys are just humongous! We even also saw Matternhorn, and only the very tip was hidden in the clouds. It was glorious! And gods I was nearly shitting my pants from all the open space around me - great new experience. Also, the air at 3km is apparently rather thin. Had trouble breathing and had a headache, but it was still a great trip. Awesome stuff. Pictures incoming at some point!
After that glorious morning, we went back down and rode to Bern, did some sightseeing there as well. Then it was on to Romanshorn for a view of the Bodensee, if very brief - it was getting late and it was time to get back to Glattbrugg. Had to scrap seeing Basel as well.
In any case, I'm absolutely trashed and tired. Time to catch some sleep now - we'll see what tomorrow brings.
