I had been somewhat down these past few weeks because I had the feeling of distance between a close friend and myself. But by the way we could talk yesterday again it seems like that was just what one could call a freak of social matters.

Social ties are a funny thing sometimes - we've known each other for about a year now, hung always together like we were glued to each other and I had this strange panicked feeling of loosing that connection just because we're not attending as many courses together as we used to. I feel silly now. Sometimes I wish I could just become invisible and stand aside and observe the little interpersonal tragedies that happen all around me. On the other hand I feel guilty when I notice these things happen to other people and can't help but look closer.

Why the happy-thread?

I'm thankful for the great people that keep crossing my path and that they don't forget me just because we loose each other out of sight every now and then.

went for a swim tonight, first time in several weeks.

I could literally feel the exam stress melt away after the first 500 m

and I have a whole day tomorrow to study for my last exam, which is considerably easier, cuz my prof did a brilliant job of teaching it.
