I finally got the freaking keys to my freaking flat!! Seriously, there have been so many hold ups and stuff that I didn't think I was going to be in before Christmas, but now, I'm a homeowner!!!

And broke...

Ah well, at least it's YOUR money pit ... :p

I get the keys to my townhouse this coming Monday 20th Dec. The stuff I've had in storage here in Brisbane for the last 5 years gets moved in on Tuesday, and my stuff from Darwin gets moved in on Wednesday. In the meantime I have to organise getting the power and gas connected, plus buying a bed and a decent sized fridge as they are the absolute minimum requirements for me to start living there.

Oh, plus toilet paper of course ... :p

How does one groom snow? Did you leave the sideburns? Squared off in the back or not?
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I don't exactly know how but the Australians just beat the Poms to square the Ashes 1-1 with 2 Tests to go.

WTF is going on? This is so far the strangest series I have ever seen.
