Job interview on Thursday! This is good for several reasons: I'm fucking tired of being a sub, the potential job is not even in education which is sweet because I'm pretty jaded towards the whole thing, and this will neatly fix the main issue causing marital strife. Now I just need to land it.

Do you people have any idea how hard it is to write a cover letter/interview for a job working with troubled adolescent girls without sounding like a creep? "It's always been my dream to work closely with troubled girls. No, I mean, I can't wait to develop a working relationship with these young ladies...dammit, I mean I really like teenage girls! Shit! Just give me the job, I want to service these ladies!"

It's tough, a fine line to balance of sounding interested woithoiut being TOO interested.

Good luck, Ray.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Good luck Ray, and you should mention the time you shepherded young kids away from a creep during a school outing.

My memory has faculties of retention even I ignore.
One girl at work discovered this to her dismay.

Hope it does serve as a useful anecdote.

I seem to remember that you had to hold of a love struck little puppy at your school. Or was that someone else? In either case, the story should count for something, right?

Best of luck, mate. School is never a good place for anyone. Including students.

Not so far as he remembers, judging from his forum-tale recollections...

Oh the irony, it was Margaret Thatcher's 85th birthday the other day and she was kept out of the headlines by a bunch of miners !

Talking of which, Gary Glitter has arrived in Chile.

All that talk of miners going up and down a shaft was too much for him.
Now all the friends that you knew in school they used to be so cool, now they just bore you.
Just look at em' now, already pullin' the plow. So quick to take to grain, like some old mule.

Nah I think I will wait. See if we get married and by that time it's too late if I reveal it to her. :)

You would have had to if I hadn't been working Sunday and had turned up to lunch with Sarah. Explain that one away without making us all look like freaks - I'd like to see you try! :killingme:

Maybe next time I'm there eh? :)

Got some lovely steak for dinner tonight with a good bottle of ale, and some Mafia II. :)

Just watched The 13th Warrior for the first time in about 10 years, and was reminded of how AMAZINGLY FUCKING AWESOME it is! :killingme:
