So there was a nonce fest organised by pound shop fascist and fake patriot, Tommy Ten Names in London today, called "Unite the Kingdom." And aside from the absolute dregs that showed up to support it (and the fact that a pro Palestine rally was also on and I think much better attended) the absolute legends that are Led by Donkeys managed to get a video billboard into the middle of the march, that suddenly started a video about how immigration makes Britain Brilliant.

This is course angered the smooth brained gammons greatly and is just fabulous: https://youtube.com/...JJo20vK24FWKK8R

Made dad 4 different meal preps, split into two containers each so he could spread them out, put them in the cooler and headed out to his place Saturday. He was super gracious to receive them. I then went out to do some of the shopping for his staples that he needs for the house, and got him some fruit and veg, brought them back to his place and cut everything up and into continuers for ease of snacking. Then we had a spot of lunch and watched a movie together, and then chatted for a few more hours. Had dinner with him and then off home in the evening. My niece stopped by to bring him a card as she was in town looking at a wedding venue, so that cheered him up too. Once I got home he texted me to let me know how much it meant that I cam by and how much it helped his mood just to have me there.

So that made me feel good and helped me know that what I had done (which I didn't think was enough) was plenty to him.

My friend who we are staying with in England in August (who is into Sharpe and Aubrey & Maturin ect. same as me) says we will go to Portsmouth for sure to see the Victory (bucket list)....but I ALSO found that in Winchester there is a Rifleman's museum with the largest diorama of Waterloo in the world...and that's generally "on the way" from where they live to Portsmouth...so we will probaly make a whole day of it and see both. So that's a nerdy day for us!

"Youthful Robert" getting seven shades extracted in Manchester.

Is this in bad taste? Maybe, but seeing a fascist turd get dealt with so directly was rather delicious. Maybe that'll learn the knobber.

It’s worth a visit either way. But I hope the restoration is complete. I never got to see her in her full glory. The top deck and masts were all buried under tarps.

Yeah, fairly certain the scaffold-building thing is still there and will be till like 2032 if the website is to be believed. That's fine as you can still apparently see most of her and there is some sort of tour based on the restoration which is apparently super interesting as well.

I AM a bit sad that I don't get to see her in her full glory, but perhaps a reason to revisit it after 2032?
