I understand the individual words in the quoted posts, but the way they're strung together? Nonsense!

That's ok it's woke communism or something, don't worry about it.

Spent the weekend in Prague celebrating my 40th... What a beautiful city though the only sightseeing we did was whilst we were changing pubs...

I think I am still hungover and I got back Sunday, it has been a long time since we sessioned like that. but what an amazing time we had with some surreal experiences.

Definitely a recommend if you have not been before!

Hi all! It's been a while (I'm still waiting for a new Mafia game - it's been like 5 years?)

I wanted to drop by to share some good news and shameless self-promotion. Together with a small indie publisher I launched a crowdfunding campaign for Campfire, a tabletop RPG I designed. It requires no prep to play aimed for use in the classroom and towards new players: those who always wanted to try TTRPGs but found the popular systems like D&D intimidating.

I'm stoked about this but obviously need help, too. Any support, shares, and kind words are appreciated: https://www.backerki...any-story-ttrpg

(also, I'm dead serious about still waiting for a good old meat and potatoes Mafia)

Good luck with the project though. :)

Thanks worry, that means a lot!

And yeah the name was a source of much deliberation with my publisher. Not very creative but we liked it so decided to stick with it Posted Image

Will do. I'm going on vacation next Friday and will be back at the end of March. Set myself a reminder to set up a game when I'm back.

What happened to all the children in Dublin? Did the ancient burial mounds finally collect them all?

I'd suppose that might help the tourist industry... the adult tourist industry, that is. Well, minus all the pedophiles, of course.

Hope you had a lovely time!

I had my autism assessment yesterday. I was expecting it to be far more nerve-wracking than it turned out to be, the assessor was a really kind gentleman who was very easy to speak to. I'm officially diagnosed with a very long report to follow up, but it feels good to have the process out of the way and to not be thrown a curveball by the outcome (it's what we expected). I did speak about the differences/quirks having made me wonder if I wasn't a very nice person in the past when I was younger, and the assessors said some very kind things about that and about the need to frame it not as something "wrong" but merely a perfectly valid difference in how I experience the world and think about it. I'm very pleased I decided to go down this route.

The Brazen Head. It's right on the river Liffey. 20 Lower Bridge St.

Oldest pub in Dublin. Small, but wonderful and welcoming. Had my first in-country Guinness there and it was a life-changing experience.

Congrats! I'm happy there was a good moment of empathy by the assessors for you in the recursive loop about what happened long ago.

Nice is also extremely flexible as a concept - there's a bunch of unpacking to do in regards to who wants something nice, what they think is nice, and what they're actually given because these things are not always the same at any given moment.

I'm glad you have a diagnosis to work with. That's such an important step for sure. Helps to know that you are not second-guessing yourself.

Spent the day on top of a mountain. It was nice to be out after a long winter and too much office time.

Thanks all :)

Amph - the assessor went in to some similar ideas about "niceness" and polite norms as well, we had a really interesting tangent conversation about cultural differences in "polite" norms which was quite illuminating.

Just got pulled over for speeding while on vacation. The cop told me that if he wrote the ticket, I would have to come back to Ohio for court. So he took mercy and gave me a seatbelt ticket which is a non-moving violation that is $30 and won’t affect my insurance. Awesome.
