Mr PigDog and the sprog are away next weekend. It's been tentatively on the cards for a while but officially confirmed today at 3 whole nights away. I haven't been alone in the house during non-work time for more than a couple of hours since Spring 2019 I think.

Holy sweet frickin jesus. If anything stops this happening I'm going to have a psychological meltdown.

Ah jeez Mez, don't you know you just put the mockers on yourself? Your work will have some sort of lasminute.com emergency and of course only SuperMez can save the day.

I hope I'm wrong though and you have great old time:

It's happened! They are not at their destination yet but they have left and are closer to the destination than home at this point so they can't come back tonight! I worked until 7.30pm finishing a bastard of a project and now blissful solitude awaits until Monday (I hope)!

I bet Iíve watched hundreds of various insects die since the swamp has begun to heat up. They smash into our new windows full speed ahead and just bounce off onto the ground. I just sit in my lawn chair in bedroom and watch them come and die and when Iím not looking I donít even jump at the impacts now. Itís just loud background noise at this point. It can be quite funny seeing them bouncing off. Some go a surprising distance before they hit the ground.

Thankfully no birds yet. If that starts to happen I ll have to do something to protect them.

The mutt is just having a grand ole time.. I hear crunching going on constantly at night. When Iím in my den I hear crunch crunch crunch behind me as he feast on the locust coming under the door. When Iím out sitting by the fire I hear crunch crunch crunch as he picks them off the house or whatís left of the tree(4.5ft of trunk) his leach is on.

Itís sickening(especially if they have time to scream) but fuck me if it ainít funny to. I even bring him a few each night.

Big old juicy bastards.

Ok that was a good one Az.

Was out shopping for beds with my daughter when a storm cell hit and out of the clouds spewing black smoke came a F 18 Hornet. The Blue Angels are in town for an air show this week!

Thereís something really badass hearing prop planes over modern rocket ones. Blue Angels been vibrating the hell out of the house but a pack of WW2 era fighters just flew over in formation and the sound effects were so cool to hear.

Got the nocs out. One of those planes just smoke trailed a Q more or less above my hood. Or I should say what appeared to be one from my angle on the ground.

Pilot was probably just doing a standard 360 and the wind blew it.

Had a realtor over to reevaluate my flat. Despite the housing-market in Stockholm being a nightmare it seems girlfriend and I have a shot at upgrading to a three-room-flat come autumn. A home office (or just separate kitchen) would really help our quality of life after a year of both of us working from home.

Ahhh boo the air show party came to an end today. Saw some cool shit from Home Depot parking lot. F-22 Raptors and P-51 Mustangs paired up. Raptors skimming the ground and shooting straight a few thousand ft before going into some strange fit flopping and flipping around without really moving very much. Mustangs hovering in the air with nose pointing at the sky which was just straight up awesome to see.

If Iím alive still in 2 yrs when the next show makes its rounds Iím getting a ticket to go.

Iím going to miss all the aircraft buzzing the hood doing their practice runs. Itís been an awesome week.

We've just done the exact same thing in Oslo. I can't wait to have a dedicated home office room.

So my Granda died like 18/19 years ago.
There's plenty of photos of him about, and great anecdotes and stories, he was a character.

But he lived in a time before camera phones in everyone's hands and even video cameras being that big of a deal.

Now I don't know if this was known and forgotten about or not commonly known, but he did a tiny interview for Irish television in 1965, on the subject of farming naturally.
Someone really randomly came across this in some kind of digital archive and shared it with the family.
I nearly cried

Aww yeah, that would have been a lovely thing to come across for the memories of the man.
