Busiest day of the year so far yesterday at the driving range, and Easter holidays this week so anticipating the winter slump is ending

I have a wisteria plant on my back wall. Some years ago I had a vision of amazing purple wisteria flowers covering the wall, drawing the eye from every window at the back of our house. Bedrooms, kitchen, lounge, the lot, it's the end of the view into the garden. I spent £40 on a plant. The most I have ever spend on a single plant. I built a really strong wire structure to support its weight. Fed and pruned it by the book every spring, summer, autumn and winter. I did what needed to be done. The books said it would take 5 years to flower. 8.5 years later I have my first flower buds!!!! I'm so frickin excited.

Will keep things crossed, about time she had some luck!

WMMHT: house is almost ready to go on the market (photos being done next week) and we're being allowed to see a house beforehand which honestly might be the perfect forever home. Just waiting to hear when we can see it.

Man, I know that's a Macro drunk post, but still the sentiment is one I agree with.

This place has been a balm to my rougher days for longer than I care to admit, so I agree with him. You all are splendid people

Nvidia May Have Just Solved AI's Biggest Problem

[...] mitigate the issue of chatbots veering off into fantasy or outright lies. [...] NeMo Guardrails, "newly released open-source software" designed to help chatbots "stay on track."
The software provides developers with a way to integrate rules-based systems that will stop a chatbot from spouting inaccurate information, ensuring their responses are "accurate, appropriate, on topic, and secure," [...]

"You can write a script that says, if someone talks about this topic, no matter what, respond this way," [...]

If software developers are able to realize just 10% of the value generated by their creations, advances in AI could generate as much as $14 trillion in additional revenue and $90 trillion in enterprise value, according to the report.

While AI could hold the key to the next generation of high-tech advances, broad adoption of the technology will certainly depend on the ability of users to get useful, accurate, and truthful responses from these AI models.

Skeptical about the 'accurate' part, but since it's open-source software, it should at least speed the development of AI in China, which will benefit the world (overall)---hopefully.... If that idiot Biden doesn't mess things up (and possibly initiate WWIII---he's on the verge of death anyway and thinks he's going to Heaven so why should he care? all the good folks will go to Heaven with him, and maybe he can be president there too!... (while Trump gets to be president down in hell, which he fervently believes to be Heaven?...)).

Is that you, Bottle?

I think if you believe Chinese development of AI will be a benefit to the world and Biden will start WWIII, I think you need to take a few steps back and reassess.
Besides, if Biden really does go full dementia, I'd think there's a rather large organisation around him that will fill him with all the happy meds and ship him off somewhere quiet.

If I was AI I probably would have been too smart to marry my ex-wife.
