Sweet! My favorite Late Summer/Early Autumn chili pepper stand was starting to be set up (damn it seems to be earlier and earlier every year). Along with green chili, I think I'm going to have a go at chili rellenos this year. Never made them myself. Love them from one of my go to taquerias though. My confidence is low in my chili relleno skills however. I'll have to do some research.

The stand also had a sign that they will be selling local honey this time. Double sweet! I've heard eating local honey is supposed to help out with seasonal allergies. Is that true? Something to do with the bees gathering pollen and nectar from the regional flora and eating their honey helps with allergies from these sources.

Yay! I agree, it’s pretty much common sense, but there are people still don’t get it.

If you think the test is a joke, actual driving in the US is even easier. I practically do it with my eyes closed.

There needs to be pedestrian testing and learner permits implemented. The rudimentary knowledge you're taught when you are eight years old - "look both ways before crossing the street"/ "look left, right, then left again, before crossing" - doesn't seem to be working anymore.

After living in a lot of big cities, I feel like jay walking is a more important skill.

I don’t live in LA but you’re the second person this month to think I do. I just give off those Hollywood vibes, I guess.

Agree about the traffic though!

My new runners fit like a DREAM. It's been years since I last bought a pair so these are puttin' the pep in my step!

Also my brother just finished House of Chains - said he was kind of let down by the ending and hoped Felisin would've had more to do, which I sympathised with. Then he asked me, does Midnight Tides have a lot to do with the Whirlwind plot?

Oh boy...I laughed

I've lived there in the past and have likely mentioned it, and I still live in Southern California, but it's probably also worth mentioning how big California is (eg 175% the size of the UK).

Also, as mentioned, the Hollywood vibes.

I assumed you're some form of Hollywood big shot, yes...

I know Southern California pretty well having been a number of times, have family there etc. My aunt and uncle live about 45 minutes from Anaheim #GoAngels

I'm gonna assume that's some heavy metal thing even though it sounds like a Pulp couplet.

We need a thread for things that are both making you happy and messing with your groove simultanously.

I have submitted an applcaition for my first Solo, Adult apartment. I will be living alone for the first time in my life, no family and no room mates. I will be furnishing for my place for the the first time. What a headache buying and budgeting furniture is!

I will be in the centre city of philadelphia but have been forced to give up in unit laundry for the far inferior in building laundry, in exchange though Ill have a pretty good view from the 19th floor, a great location and a modern kitchen and what is hopefully just enough space in a 1 bedroom apartment to be comfortable as I work from home Full time

I am happy to have a place here on this forum. Seriously, you all have supported me one way or another through some of the worst moments in my life and truly helped me get through it all. Thank you.

It is! It's the lyrics from a Sabaton song, Ghost Division. The original is "Panzer elites" but it has the sort of insanely catchy tune that my brain will do automatic word swaps too.
