Know what’s making me happy about spending $3K on a brand new inside AC unit? Simply for the fact it’s having to be installed now rather then in a month from now or heaven forbid in August and thankfully not in January either.
It is just right now but for 4 days now it’s all been out as we waited for a new unit after trying to fix the old one. Will have another night without but hopefully tomorrow will all be done.
Temps ranging from 68-78 inside.

I totally get this.!
--> Going to a game convention today so trying some different DnD groups, cosmic encounter, Twillight Imperium 4, and an Alpha version of a unreleased game by a major designer too!
My copy of black rose wars lands today so hopefully going to squeeze this in as a learn and play.

Me and a couple friends had our first ever DnD session the other night. Had no idea what we were doing, only used premade characters and premade stories. But it was a hell of a good time.

Solid! Check out some of local cons now too... the best people. I will admit a good RPG group is quite fun ... though I lean toward cyberpunk.
I played Dnd for
10hrs Friday ( 2 groups)
11 hour twilight imperium 4 game ... bloody lost by 3 VP and it was quite neck and neck. Even though that sounds long (3 breaks) due to food, game trading time ( someone made a mass trading algorithm so this giant swap and it worked..had to watch !) etc.
I got in two beta games , viticulture , and a few short games.
Also got to game with Phil Eklund ( creator of high frontier)

Made the decision to get my shit together and stop putting weight back on. I lost 100 pounds and kept it off for a couple of years, then starting last Halloween the wheels came off and I started eating like a madman. I’ve put back on about 30 pounds and feel like shit about it. I was so pleased with myself to lose it. So, now I’m holding myself accountable again. Counting calories, tracking food, avoiding carbs, keeping my diabetes well under control, which is why I lost the weight in the first place. I’m not going as hard as I did before, I lost the 100 pounds in about 5 months. I only need to lose 30 so no need to be that crazy.
You lost 40 Kg in 5 months? How is that possible!
But great job
Severe caloric restriction and moderate exercise. I was doing between 1000 and 1200 calories a day. I can’t seem to find the willpower to go that hard again.
didn't you feel light headed or anything!
But great job. I started excercising and have never been fitter but I'm struggling to shed the pounds because I don't pay enough attention to the calories!

So let there be light!
Let there be moon!
Let there be stars and let there be you!
Let there be monsters, let there be pain!
Let us begin to feel again!

A cat has settled in at our library.
It started out 3-4 weeks ago. The cat had moved in under a trailer house outside the library we use while the library is under renovation.
It's most likely a young cat that ran away from home or lived in a block where everyone was feeding it, because it's incredibly chill around strangers and very social. We checked it for a chip but didn't find anything.
We started feeding it while we tried to find a home for the cat and now it's basically just claimed the area around the building. Everybody loves it but we weren't letting it into the building because ... Well, it's a wild cat. Animals aren't allowed because we have a Cafe though it is also under renovation.
Fast forward to today. The cat is now sneaking around on our ground floor and even the boss is ignoring it because it's so damn cute. It's now got it's own cushion by the entrance that it sleeps on. It likes to sit by or around the entrance, where it does people watching all day.
The patrons love it and ooh and aah around it and gives it lots of attention which it seems to enjoy. It even accepts children running up to it.
We do need to find it a home eventually, because our Cafe will reopen in some months, and health and food people would frown upon it. But for now it's just fun to have our own library cat.
In terms of pr and user happiness the thing is worth a million bucks.

Can you fit an entire slice into the cup or do you have to sort of smash it in there then add hot water?

It's almost as sad as you guys not being able to spell "cat". Or "Canute" for that matter ...
"Fortune favors the bold, though statistics favor the cautious." - Indomitable Courteous (Icy) Fist, The Palace Job - Patrick Weekes
"Well well well ... if it ain't The Invisible C**t." - Billy Butcher, The Boys
"I have strong views about not tempting providence and, as a wise man once said, the difference between luck and a wheelbarrow is, luck doesn’t work if you push it." - Colonel Orhan, Sixteen Ways to Defend a Walled City - KJ Parker
