had our first win today with my weekday team. Last week was our first draw, and the 2 weeks prior were both close-fought losses with minimal score difference.
Feels good that we're leaving the rocky season start (due to poor attendance, starting (or sometimes playing) games under-strength) and climbing on an upward trajectory.

I went ice skating for the first time in my life today.
Only fell on my face once and had a lot of fun overall. Though I will say that braking with skates is a lot harder than one would think it would be.

The new Goldfrapp album is a return to form (I hated their last effort). Like an amped up LAMB. Good stuff.

Getting my bicycle back today after it's been fixed. This should be a good weekend to go riding with the heat wave kinda abating.

Ok, well Morgy at least.

Whats it called? Last one I got was Tales of Us.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

I started Zombies Run 5k this morning. It turns out my logic of "it's not that hot yet" was deeply flawed, but for my first run in two years, adding in the heat and all the stress-related nonsense my joints get up to, I'm really pleased with running eight minutes of the ten minute free form in a nice, if slow, rhythm. Slowly slowly, catchy monkey
I have a very far off goal of running a 10k for the charity who have provided my counselling, but it's a long way off and three runs a week for the next eight to hopefully get up to 5k feels like quite enough of a realistic goal for now (that's what the program sets, not me.)
Small steps in the right direction. Happy TRB

6 out now, although they had to put it on hold because "oxygen levels in the cave became too low".
Hope they get the rest out soon.

Everyone is out of the cave now and safe. Thank gods this didn't end worse.
Still, we should all remember the Taiwanese navy seal who lost his life in the first attempt to get them out.

Ahhh. July 11. Free slurpee day at 7-Eleven today. Couldn't have come at a better time to, as temps here are going to be in mid 90s. I think I'm gonna go for half wild cherry, half coca-cola. What about you sweaty people? You a mix it up sort of freak, or do you stay with one flavor? Go out and get your cool and refreshing on, my dudes and dudettes!

Man I haven't had a Slurpee in like 20 years. Not for any particular reason, it's just the closest 7-11 is further than most other shops I'd go to. It's tempting though!
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Be careful about the brain freeze. I totally forgot about that and how painful it legitimately is. I'm tempted to post in the 'messing with groove' thread based on the experience I just had. Still, the freezing, refreshing flavors out weigh the pain though, just gonna make sure I pace myself now.
