I suddenly want to play with a baby hawk.

Do they poop on your hands?

My grandmother gave me quite a bit of money. New bathroom, here I come! Hopefully I'll have it done by winter. This also makes me able to buy a new, more efficient fireplace. In early spring we're all getting balconies. IT'll be a completely different apartment in not so long ;)

That's one way to go. The other is to find a really good candy shop and buy some of everything.

I would go for a nice bathroom over a cool TV every single time. Significant other candidates are usually happy watching shows on tablets and love love love cool bathrooms.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

You could install a nice medium screen TV in the bathroom.

THE INTERNETZ!

..after two weeks of no internet connection. Just in time, I really needed it for work and trekking to my mom's friend's place for everything other than checking emails was getting really tedious.

Got some blood work today. My a1c, which is the average blood sugar for the past three months, was 8.6 when I was diagnosed with diabetes three months ago. It's 5.4 now, which is not even in the diabetic range. It's lower than a lot of people who are non diabetic. Of course, I am on medication still, this doesn't mean that I am no longer diabetic, but it's a big step towards getting off medication land more importantly avoiding any complications of diabetes. Also my cholesterol and liver numbers are drastically improved.

Who would have thought, losing 70 pounds and exercising every day would be beneficial to my health. I wonder why no one ever told me.

Rly, that is some seriously impressive work. A lot of people would have just have lain down and accepted what was coming, that is, well, were me.news.

What's making me happy.
In my local.and there's a 2 piece playing. Father and son.
Both are so talented, can play 3/4 instruments each and both can sing.
Playing a load of clever melodies that rip (in the idea of the axis of awesome)on modern songs sounding the same, and dropping into 80s hits etc as well as throwing in a few Irish classics. Superbly talented and inventive guys.
Wasted on 50 drunken wankers in tyrone!

Great stuff, RLY!

Making me happy; officially got offered a new job in Australia today! Just waiting on the contract to come through. :p

Now I'm on the high from that news, but I know come tomorrow reality will set in and I'll probably be posting in the Groove thread about the hassles of moving country in the space of a month. XD

After a chat with our LANTRA qualified chap at the centre on Saturday - looks like I'll be taking my exams to be a qualified falconer next year! :p

We don't have licensing in this country for falconers and it's something the centre feels quite strongly about. The LANTRA and equivalent body awards are the closest thing to a monitored licence that we have - so I feel like I should put my money where my mouth is and be tested for the exams.

Anyway, qualified chap is going to ask his friend who he passed with to quote for me (because he'll do it cheaper since I work with him) and he'll send me all the theory work, and our chap can pass me on the practical within my work at the centre as I go along. So excited! :p
