My mother's operation is over, despite an hour wait between what time they estimated the surgery ending and what time they actually rang, everything went well, thank fuck, ('unremarkable procedure' when remarkable means something's gone wrong is a great phrase to hear) and she's sleeping. My dad'll visit her as soon as possible tomorrow morning, and my brother and I will as soon after as possible. Now, it's not all over yet - they need to run more tests to make sure the new kidney is working, she's staying in the hospital for at least a week, and she'll be on anti-rejection drugs for the rest of her life which'll trash her immune system and put her at a high risk of skin cancer from sun exposure, among other things - but the important thing is that she's going to be not dying, which is all I could have wanted.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

After the surgery tell her they accidentally installed a prostate instead. When she looks surprised you shout "Just kidney-ing!"

Ouch that pun was spleenful.

Finally got my philosophy assignment done! Submitted it online a grand total of 7 minutes 32 seconds before the cut-off date. That was the fastest, and possibly shittiest assignment I've ever done, but hey, its done, and I'm happy about it!

Been working on my first R series grant for the past few weeks and the boss is reviewing it. Beaker2 said "Maybe he will come back and say everything is good, go ahead and submit...and then leprechauns will jump out and start tossing gold around."

Boss just sent me an email saying he only made one small change and it looks really good. I'm putting out Guinness for the leprechauns.

SO MUCH EXCITEMENT!!!

MASS EFFECT: ANDROMEDA

You know that feeling you get when your heart stops beating from an over-abundance of joy and your stomach starts fluttering around and your face begins to ache from smiling so hard?

Have I mentioned recently just how wonderful and awesome Silencer is?

Well let me do so now...

His acumen is enviable.

His sagacity is astounding.

His effervescence is compelling and his mediation is superb.

The truth is some would find his genius alarming if it wasn't so consistent.

He is the finest of the fine.

A gentleman in an un-gentlemanly time.

A true marvel of a man.

*two hours later*

And suffice it to say, he also has nice hair.

My position is being moved. Well, it's being split and moved to two different ministries. It made me a little worried but now I've learned that I'll probably follow all my interesting duties, whereas the boring stuff is being moved somewhere else.

No direct increase in salary alas, but the pay is generally better where I'm going, so I aim to argue my way up a few steps.

Fat, greasy, thieving, and given to pompously boasting how great he is? Wow. A tad harsh, don't you think?Posted Image
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

I am not known to mince words. Only my step minces, and with an ass this fabulous, you sort of expect that.

My Blackwall lithograph just arrived. Posted Image

And Cole.

They look like this - Blackwall. Cole.

Now I have all the companions that I wanted.

Just need to get them framed now. XD

Sold the first lot in the subdivision I'm developing.

Not gonna lie, selling the first one is a HUGE weight off my shoulders.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.
