Talked to the prof who's supervising my final year project and he said it's okay if I don't have ready what I was supposed to have done by next week. I can hand the stuff in next month. Yay.

Just bought OST.
The guy at Waterstones was spouting some shit about there being 12 new books planned. 12!!!
WTF!!
He reckons it was on SE's site, which we all know is bollocks because, well, we forumites check these things regularly right?

He obviously didn't realise he was dealing with a veteran of this site. Haha.
Plonker.
I actually hope I'm wrong on this, but having just spent the last 15 mins searching t'internet in vain, I thinks it unlikely.

Still, OST!!! :p

Its Friday. Yes. And tonight I get to go see Fuzz in Philly. Tickets cost me 12 bux. ITs raining like crazy but I don't give a shit. I'm gonna drink beer, take huge bong hits and go get my brain melted. I earned it, especially after I received a ton of email criticism on an interview I did with with Sister Helen Prejean (Susan Sarandon played her in Dead Man Walking). Our state has a bill held up in judicial committee that will abolish the death penalty, and she came here to support giving it a vote. I covered it and lets just say that many people were not happy with our "unbalanced" coverage of the issue. Which was bullshit.

Anyway, yeah, brainey meltz is goodness. I be happy.
Theorizing that one could poop within his own lifetime, Doctor Poopet led an elite group of scientists into the desert to develop a top secret project, known as QUANTUM POOP. Pressured to prove his theories or lose funding, Doctor Poopet, prematurely stepped into the Poop Accelerator and vanished. He awoke to find himself in the past, suffering from partial amnesia and facing a mirror image that was not his own. Fortunately, contact with his own bowels was made through brainwave transmissions, with Al the Poop Observer, who appeared in the form of a hologram that only Doctor Poopet could see and hear. Trapped in the past, Doctor Poopet finds himself pooping from life to life, pooping things right, that once went wrong and hoping each time, that his next poop will be the poop home.

So you had an anti-death penalty activist on your show and people were shocked that the interview went there? When you interview bands do people get mad that the discussion slants towards pro-music biases?
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

to re-iterate:

it's the long weekend. My birthday was 2 days ago, going out to celebrate tonight.
There are people in town for long weekend I haven't seen for a long time who are coming tonight, gonna be a good time.

It's also the first time since i finished high school that i'm home on my birthday and both
a) am not in school and
b ) have a steady job and can afford to go out.

getting a whole bunch of friend together, gonna be some good times.

I have a steady-paying job right now, I'm looking for ways to pursue my career, and my parents have finally realized they don't run my life anymore, and I am not just going nowhere with my life.
I've also spent half the day at work yesterday streaming World Cup qualifiers, and my team won (UKRAINE, W00T!), with still a chance to get first place and avoid playoffs.

oh, and I got paid yesterday.

Basically, it's been a very good half-week ever since Thursday.

and the weather is simply gorgeous for late October.

basically, life is good.

Congrats!

I have a son. My friends say the advantages to sons are:

1) Girls, especially multiple daughters = unbearable teenage drama
2) They cost less. A patient of mine had 3 sons and 1 daughter and says that now that the daughter is a teenager, she costs as much as all 3 boys put together, even factoring in the cost of food, which i found surprising.

Sure. I have gone for a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon (V6 2.7l, 6 speex manual). 'Tis a coupe, if you aren't familiar with it. :p

I'm not, being all the way over here in 'Ol Blighty, but I'm aware of what a coupe is. Very nice.
Some size engine too. Is that an average sized engine for kiwis?
