You have no idea! You'll be looking right at him and then turn around and he is sitting in front of you. He can take food off your plate with such skill that you don't even know it's gone until you take your plate into the kitchen and see him licking clean a bone. He moves in shadows. He is made of stealth.

The more I read that post the more I became convinced that names have power. At some point in the future I was going to get a couple/few half wolf breeds and call them Baran, Gear etc.
But now I'm frightened of what the consequences might be...
btw I have two black Labs. I don't think I have any pictures but I'll check
Hi, I'm Tom, and I put the Man in Mandolin.

man....I wish I could have a kitty.
The wife won't have it.
She really wants a dog though, and I seriously dislike dogs so I've put my foot down there.
It's only fair.

The ole lady and i got a cat awhile back. The poor little gal hitched a ride up under my brothers truck and we have no idea where she came from. I just know it took me about 4 seconds of watching my wife play with her to know we were getting a cat.
Poor little underfed kitty...

Some people already have seen our pup which featured on my Christmas card that I had send out.
Her name is Ziva (just noticed GH his dog is named Ziva too, but is she a mixed breed? The first dog we had when I was a little kid was a Boxer/Golden Retriever and had a longer snout too), born on September 19th 2011.

Yeah, ours is a mixed breed (boxer and your guess is as good as mine).
So, where did you come up with the name Ziva?

My mother came up with it (currently living in with my parents until I find I find a steady job again), she wanted that a piece of the name of our previous dog Varna (which we had to put to sleep on September 26th 2011) , also a Boxer came back in the new name.
I liked the name and I backed it up.
A second after I said that I liked the name I said did you get it from NCIS? My Dads most favorite tv show.
