Paran's Hound thing from MOI is a Hound of the Master of the Deck, it just hadn't separated yet

His hound thing came pretty directly from his interaction with the blood of a hound in GotM. Descriptions of some of his fighting later in the book is fairly hound-like. All in all he had the hound thing going before the Master of the Deck thing started.

That doesn't mean the hound thing couldn't have mutated somewhat along the way, but I think it is vcery much a part of Paran.

I recall a passage in TTH that refers to a circle breaker, Circle Breaker, and/or breaking the circle.

Didn't Circle Breaker make some sort of random appearance (like one page's worth) in one of the books not taking place in Darujhistan? Anyone remember where Circle Breaker was meant to be going / where the eel was sending him at the end of GotM?

Re Chaur - I think either Envy or Spite looks into his mind and sees that they could probably make him see the world normally if they fixed the funny way his brain worked. Also, when the one little spark of thought in his brain meets another, there's some mention of something incredible forming (cant remember the exact words) so I think it's pretty safe to say when we see him again it's going to be ownage.

Someone (one of the BB's I think) says something about there having been Fisher's for thousands of years, that every couple of hundred years some guy rocks up pretending to be him. It's pretty obvious it's all the same guy, so he's obviously an ascendent. I think he's unbound, but will have some important role in the future. Maybe helping Paran or being involved in whatever god Karsa kills.

My crazy theory - The final scene of tCG will be Paran standing next to some kid next to the windvane on mock's hold, where he tells them not to join the army

Final scene of TCG will be a massive orgy. No commitments no judgements or questions.

At the end of Gardens, Circle Breaker left for Dhavran, a city on the western shores of Lake Azure. He was on the boat with Fiddler and Crokus.

I've looked for the passage in TTH several times.

I like the idea of Fisher helping Paran, for some reason it seems to me that the 2 of them would click and make a nice complimenting pair. Sort of like Dassem and Karsa were when they unexpectedly hooked up.

I can see it happening. Paran, the BB's and lots of other kick-ass characters will fight their way through the CG's army to a cliff, where he will become Unchained by his minions in the HOC. The CG lies in a deep crater. Fleets of Soletaken, Eleints and Moranth will fly in, and take on demonic condors, Tulas Shorn and any other winged nasties you can think of. They also try to destroy the CG before he awakes. But too late! Crackling streams of grey sorcery channel themselves into the CG's prison, and coalesce in a huge blinding flash. There is darkness.

Suddenly the light returns, and everyone looks up to see a huge hole leading into the CG's dimension. The rest of his army and minions floats up into the portal. Paran is going apeshit at this last-minute failure. They prepare to regroup and follow, when through the portal comes a damaged jade giant. It crashes, and releases a deadly parasite of Chaos. They must fight for their lives.

Ossim, no?

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

Oh Cotillion is toast, no doubt. A God w/ Compassion!?!?

He'll never make it :D

Please don't talk about Cotillion dying... I'll probably seriously cry if that happens :D

Cotillion is screwed, Nox lmao :D
Nah, the last scene of tCG will be Shadowthrone and Cotillion gazing out over the wasteland Wu has become and thinking, well, that went well.

I think you nailed it. Didn't tTH make it clear that their goal is the destruction of civilization? Along with Karsa and Kallor, and now probably Traveller and Burn knows who else.

Anyway, my crazy theory was supported in TtH. The entire plot is actually one big role playing game, where the Azath are like the rules or guidelines. All TtH did was tell me who invented it, or who's maintaining it. Gothos.

Hey guys! dumb question. Where did "Wu" come from. why do we call it that? hahaha.

P.S. Totally either the one about Cot and ST saying "that went well" or Paran telling some kid not to join the army. They're both perfect and I don't know which one I like more. Ofcourse you all realize that SE, being some omniscient ancient super human from another planet, has already read this thread and now neither of those two endings will happen.. sad really.

I have also been thinking along with others that Cotillion is toast. I see him sacrificing himself for a mortal.

Wu is just a name mentioned in the book a few times. Mistress Wu has a quote in some chapter opening, and theres a place in Saltoan on Genebackis called Wu's closet. i know there's more. SE said it was a working name for the planet but he abandoned it.
